Interesting development. He says he wants to become the "Starbucks" of pot.

Former Microsoft manager proposes national marijuana brand, robust pot trade with Mexico
Jamen Shively will announce the ideas in a joint news conference with former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Thursday.

These days, former Microsoft manager Jamen Shively is thinking different.
Shively will hold a news conference with former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Thursday during which he will propose legal marijuana trade between the two countries, as well as the first national brand of pot in the U.S.
“Let’s go big or go home,” Shively, who worked at Microsoft for six years, told The Seattle Times. “We’re going to mint more millionaires than Microsoft with this business.”

Sensing that there is more than a few bucks to be made from the emerging legal marijuana market, Shively has been buying up medical pot dispensaries in Washington state and Colorado.
“I’ve just fallen in love with the plant,” Shively told the Times. “Especially in the medical realm I’ve gone from entrepreneur to advocate to activist, seriously.”

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

"Joint" news conference.. LOL I couldn't resist >_<

I wonder how this would fare out for those of us who like to grow their own. I mean if it's legal to purchase they could hardly maintain prohibition against individual grow-ops..

There are enough people to bolster the economy by simply purchasing weed if it was legal to simply let those of us who do take the time and effort to grow, to do so in peace.

I mean I'm pretty sure many people would be too lazy to put the time into growing it for themselves. Such is the way of society (I see "domesticates" everywhere I look these days)

ZenSpice, that's probably not a worry. It's likely you'll need a license to sell but not to grow- think of all the home brewers who make their own beer. Probably it'll be like that.
