I know you know this already, but your P. viridis is really an alba.
I already asked Alice.

Thanks for posting that here too so that other can see what they are getting from that vendor.

I haven't joined the nook yet but look forward to gobbling up the info on that thread too about this plant.

Cheers to you pinkoyd Thumbs up

Now for the big question since I am new to this, but is the p.alba good for any of our work here on the Nexus?

You will soon have more d. cooperi than you can shake a stick at. If you put it outside in the ground once it gets established it should take off and cover a lot of ground, especially with the number of cuttings you have there.

Nice.

Thanks for the encouragement Wax. From what I have read each cutting should cover about .75 meters (roughly 2ft square.) Is that your experience the d.cooperi?

That is a big question indeed. No analysis has ever been published, but we do know that the UDV uses it as the primary admixture in their brews. It is commonly said that it has about 60% of the DMT content of P. viridis, but nobody seems to know where that figure comes from. I don't consider it reliable. A few bioassays that I am aware of were negative, but that was with old, dried material, and I don't know how much was used. The general consensus seems to be that the plant is variable, with particular individuals being useful while others are not. We need to convince endlessness to run a GC/MS so we can have at least one datapoint.

That sounds about right, I took a cutting from a plant I found growing at a shopping center and it traveled in a cup of water for a few hours to my house where I potted it and then I kept taking small cuttings and put them in the ground once they were established. Unfortunately I moved and left it, but it was around 2 sqft and growing like mad when I left a couple months ago.

Indeed...a very important question, and one we have a little more info about than we have let on (unintentionally, as a result of hectic life schedules).

TLC, GC/MS, and HPLC analysis run by Nexus collaborators revealed that one specimen of P. alba does not appear to contain DMT. Sorry to have not *officially* reported this yet, this info came pouring in during the conference and in the following week and I have not had a moment to catch my breath. There should be a comprehensive write-up of this and some other stuff in the coming months (I'd promise to make it shorter, but I want to set a deadline I can actually adhere to).

We hope to test more samples from more sources at greater concentrations and I hope to be posting a "Specimens needed for analysis" thread shortly.

That's great to hear SnozzleB. I'll be keeping an eye out for that thread since I have a whole population of alba in the backyard. There are many different genetic individuals since they pop up like weeds all over the place and I would be pleased to participate.

Would be good to get this nailed down.

Gotchya Wax. I am going to try something different with my 10 starts and report back in couple of months if I have success.

I will keep my p.alba just in case then. Thanks for the work on this strain SnoozleBerry and I look forward to your forthcoming insites.
