Hello all

I know that people from DMT-Nexus have tried a number of caapi styles from different suppliers. I'm curious to know, in each subjective experience, which caapi variety was the most rewarding (in any given combination with dmt or not), and what makes it so.

I have access to basically a single variety now (Ourinhos) and I'm asking myself if it's worth to pursue purchasing a different variety for experimental purposes.

Thanks!

A quick scan of posts and FAQ (see: What type of caapi/ayahuasca vine should I use, what are the differences ?) indicate that caapi preference is highly subjective. Given that, why wouldn't you want to try something new?

The reason is economical; I want to purchase a different type of vine online, but only one (at least for starters) - so I'm looking into opinions, even if high subjective (that's the point actually, there's no non-anecdotal data on this) of the one that is more worth it.

I have had the same question lately, being comfortable now in DMT space, I'd like to experience ayahuasca. I'm thinking of trying some harmala freebase in changa, since I'm pretty sure it would be efficacious without much doubt. It would be nice to hear what some of yall more experienced Nexians think.

Yellow Cielo ayahuasca seems to be the standard for b. cappi vine, and delivers a powerful yet gentle experience, which is not too hard on the body, visions and the mind are clear.

Red (not b. muricata) but just what is sold as red, such as T. Mckennas Hawaiin red vine that goes around alot, is good too, offers a more stoney-dreamy experience as apposed to the clarity of the yellow, it causes more body high and consequently more body load.

There are so many misconceptions about black its hardly worth discussing, it really depends on which black and from where. The black (again not muricata or anisopetala) vine i had was a very relaxing experience, felt very healing and medicnal and also jungle visions were seen like the ones found on shipibo tapestries!

There is white also, ive never used it.

is ourinhous is that synonymous with yellow or cielo? If so i would consider trying red aya. but so little is really known that your better off looking at vendors reading reviews and picking one that seems to suit your fancy and going for it. I would personally try red or white if i were looking for something new.

Also the age of the vine is to be considered, maybe you would get what you are looking for by simply finding some really old vine it seems to me the effects are different. i used to know a vendor now defunct who sold ancient vine peices, that were just huge and quite a site to behold really!

either way i wish you luck

have had just rediculous variance among "cielo" vine..to the point where one vine was literally about 4 times stronger than any other vine I have ever had..20g of this vine was stronger than 80g of any other cielo, white or red vine I have ever drunk..and I stupidly drank a tester dose of that vine, at 80 grams..it was extremely frightening and unpleasant to say the least and lasted a very very long time..later 20g of it was still enough for full activation of the admixture and strong vine visions. This cielo vine was rougher than any other harmala experience I ever had, high dose rue included..rough in every way..the visions are the most intense and in your face real out of any harmala experience I have had, the physical purge the strongest..the most nausea..I feel like I need to sleep for 2 days after. That could be from underestimating the vine and taking way too much though. I think I would need 2-300g of most vine to get to the place I got with 80g of that stuff.

Before that I was drinking 80-100 of other cielo from the same vendor weekly..and similar ammounts of white vine, and red vine..

So be careful with these sort of vine lables. I have lost all faith in these Banisteriopsis caapi "types"..I dont know if I believe that there is such a thing in the way that vendors often present it..

Banisteriopsis Muricata is red ayahuasca to me..and it is a wonderful vine.
Long live the unwoke.

Thanks for the replies!

I believe "Ourinhos" is the cielo.
I too already experienced wild variance of character within a single variety of vine; that's the reason I want to try something very different, to check how different it is.
