It seems that there are fewer new posts in the DMT Discussion and Open Discussion threads.

I seem to remember, no more than a year ago, quite a few more new posts, on a daily basis.

Am I wrong?

If I'm right, why do you think that is?Confused
I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention by using totally fictitious verbiage...........

The above refers to the fictitious 'I'

If it is the case is just how things roll. Ive noticed patterns over the years. Like trouble makers come in waves, arguments ensue more thank usual, and the forum quites down when the summer approaches and more people are out in the real world enjoying the nice weather rather than on the computer.

Things ebb and flow

Its also finals week all over the place this past month...and summer is almost here

also, "open discussion" used to be in the welcome area; meaning way more people could post in it. But this took away focus on the tavern and so the tavern was re-named open discussion and put near the top i guess...with the welcome area having "welcome discussion" now..So that might explain a bit of the drop in posts

if noticed a bit of a decline in the posts in the open discussion area since the order of the sections has moved around a bit.. open discussion used to stick out like a sore thumb.. now not so much. i wonder if that has anything to do with it

Ummmm... Could it be that it is harder to aquire the sourced plant that was so sought after? I mean.. Mimosa.. Our dear plant is gone.. Sad ruined! Because of... The... MAN.
Sucks but I feel that has put a damper on our road to DMT and access to the spirit world. Before It was like a warm welcoming super charged highway!! So we have a detour now. Acacia is the way, but not so easy. Am I wrong in thinking this stuff??? Sure seasons change, but so did our access to DMT!

Personally I felt like I was getting a bit being over eager so I backed off a bit..

Also, having noticed some 'troublemaking' & trolling recently (while also being fairly new here) I want to ensure I am not put in any moderators crosshairs for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or saying the wrong thing in the wrong place..

I noticed of late that I posted in a thread that was removed, what I felt was a bit off was the jackal like response in chat, instant chanting of a gleeful "BAN THEM" by certain members in the chat room (hence the crosshairs comment). I feel now perhaps some on here are not as level headed and rational as others. I stayed in chat and listened to opinion on why the thread was removed and I agreed fully. This is how rational people attempt to work things out (or so I believe).

In fact while to some it could make for a very UNwelcoming attitude, I must say that vocally in the chatroom such a mindset was in a minority and quickly corrected by others.

It just came as a bit of a surprise. Thankfully I know better than to paint the entire place as per the pattern in my mind that of one or two individuals have revealed.

Anyways, here's hoping I manage to connect on here with some wise and friendly people who just wish to share aspects of their lives and experiences while learning a little something on the way.

I offer this comment as a newcomer/new full member so I hope it is taken as perception therein.

Electric Kool Aid, while I sympathise with your sentiment, I don't really think mimosa has left us at all ...just because its not possible to order copious amounts off of other people does not mean it has left us... seeds are not hard to get and its a fairly easy plant to grow. four or so years to wait for essentially a lifetime of spice is not so bad if you ask me and would be far better than relying on importation - plus you would be introduced to a whole other side of dmt, which is getting to know the plants whom gift us with it... the situation with mimosa was just extremely convenient, but the situation is really not that hard to get around it just takes a bit of patience and hard work

..and as for acacia being the way...well, not if only accessed through importation - thats just going to keep this cycle going of more and more people catching onto that source, the source then coming under the radar and becoming too risky to import, and then people having to look for a new one... just wait... I predict it won't be that long till people start getting busted for ordering confusa bark.. importation is not a sustainable option if you want these teachers to actually stick around.. you know..with the laws on these things and all..

sorry bit off topic.. back to... posting

^..good points by acacian..people had it amazingly easy, really, when mhrb was at its peak..

re the OP topic..it's about waves and cycles imo..

2012 was a real peak (as maybe Terence foresawSmile)
..now i think more quiet work is going on before another crest of development..

..the number of new users has definitely increased, (blame the aya docs and strassman for that) but most just extract and run, which is fine...it would be far too busy if 23,000 people were all posting.
I find it quite tricky reading everything, so a slow down is welcome.

I think the new rules, new layout, the Sun shining and the fact that most questions have already been answered many times before are factors.
Wax and wane away...it all works very well.

you guys can say what you want about waxing and waning activity, in the real world, atleast where i am, there has been a huge spike in interests among curtein groups of people, from all age groups.

i know for a fact there is no supply (thank bob for it) but just the other day i went to one of the local activity hubs and while listening to everyone talking i heard three discussions brougt up about what you think, most of them in accurate, and then one guy got up and started talking to around 15 people about it.

if it wasnt for my rampant fear of people realizing i would have so wanted to shut down his talk about pineal glands dreaming and near death, funniest thing is he never even took it.

so im isolated, i know i am, much of it self imposed, but where i am there is allot of interest but no supply, and its a very confusing situation for me.

Traveler had once expressed concern that Open Discussion had become the only real high traffic forum, with many other valuable topics being neglected. It was sort of a mob psychology thing, with people thinking, "I'll go to Open, since that's where all the action is". I was guilty of this too. The layout change, I'm guessing, was to get traffic distributed more evenly, which appears to have happened.

Part of what made me want to join all the more. Any group that can poke fun at themselves in such a manner knowing it will open up the floodgates to all the most paranoid and trollish people on the interwebz is alright by me..

Most people I meet who look at things a certain way end up falling on that silly side of the fence, makes it hard to get on with them at all when they don't think for themselves but merely repeat other peoples opinions all the while thinking they are so called "TRUTHERS" (I cant abide that term)

Also, I liked the cut of this sites jib lol. I wish I could be less self conscious in chat and crack on with making a few connections/friends.

Acacian - thanks for the reply. Yup. Jump on the bandwagon! The hottest bark going! Then that gets too hot? Just pick another plant! It will not end! Then all plants get stopped. Then on to humans! Haha! Ok, that was a joke!
Wow man... DMT is everywhere~

One reason I was thinking posts are dying down... We miss the entertainment of reading posts and are looking for them too often! Or maybe this, people are talking about DMT more ITRW! Someone just a couple of days talked about the spirit world and other dimensions, mushrooms... Well I couldn't resist.. I can't resist but to tell others sometimes about aya and DMT. Spread the love! Open peoples eyes! Open the door...
So I am thinking maybe WOM! (word of mouth) is happening all over. It's not a hidden thing, more are speaking beyond just dmtnexus!

With the sunny season starting we always see less posts on the forum, people go outside to enjoy the weather. So in that regards the DMT-Nexus is a nice check to see when spring starts in the western world.

In April we had about 1.7 million page views on the forum. In the previous year the average amount of page views per month was about 1.5 million.

So I think we can say we had the first nice days of spring and we have more lurkers as before. So who knows, our FAQ might actually start to work. Razz

Kind regards,

The Traveler
