here's a little pipe-design that I came up with. It's very easy to make and works by vaporising the crystals instead of exposing them to a flame directly.
Get some aluminium shim foil (or other material, not sure how healthy that is ... enlighten me oh mighty Nexus gods). You can buy it online or pick it up at some crafts store. It's basically thick kitchen foil. Cut out a piece as shown in picture1. Roll about 2/3 into a tube as shown in picture2. A pencil is helpful here to make it nice and round. Then model the tip, which is basically a thin tube. Use pliers and little scissors to shape it. The result should look like picture3. The corner between the thinner and the bigger tube is important. If you hold it as shown in the drawing, and heat up the thin tube with a lighter while inhaling, the DMT will melt and stay in bottom of that corner until it is fully evaporated. Because the hot stream of air that evaporates the crystals, mixes with a cold flow from the top opening, it it is not unpleasantly hot. Also, you can look inside while smoking and see when everything is gone.
I'm not a big DMT smoker, rather a Pharma-drinker, but I found this pipe quite nice and useful. Give it a go if you're curious.

Great Idea, but any time aluminum foil is smoked its terrible for you maybe try making the mouth piece out of foil if need, and the rest out of like some type of steel tube? I think steel is safe to smoke from or iron, maybe some cheap thin tube from like home depot or lowes.

Yea, I had that problem with thin aluminium foil (kitchen foil), it actually burned and tasted gross. Made me also feel (and look) like a desperate junky smoking heroin.



However, as a quick and dirty way it worked quite well.
This shim foil material doesn't burn, but I agree, it's not ideal.
Ideal would be a glass pipe of that shape, and instead of a straight small tube, having a spiral. This would heat the air even better, as it has to travel longer through the heated tube before hitting the DMT.
I'll experiment a bit more with materials and the design.

To be honest just because I like it and its my invention, I took a mini-bong with no bowl piece and a one hitter, that fit perfectly into the tube where the bowl goes I attached a little almost basket under it, its a paper clip that locks into place on a hinge on the one hitter upside down. Which the basket is made a spiral, I usually put a small piece of foil in there just to hold the DMT on but also a small amount of ash or weed, and since the bowl is upside down it allows for a vaccume effect and when heated from underneath I get all the vapor next to nothing comes out its also shaped to basically perfectly hold 50MG doses and a sprinkle of weed. So it works great for breaking through, But I rarely use it because I don't like using the tinfoil. I just keep it around as a presentation of my creation. But I can at least change the foil in my piece each use yours is made of foil unfortunately. Still though as I said I like the design on it, maybe later I'll post a pic of my mini-vaporizer bong

Have you tried a stainless steel scrubber instead of tinfoil?

It works great to hold the DMT and doesn't burn. It glows when you heat it and spreads the temperature evenly. Just cut a bit off and stuff it in.

I second the above comment regarding the scrubber.. That stuff is what I use in my machine and it is perfect..

I'd like to say that if in a bind, where one has maybe forgotten their delivery device, this could be a nice little "on the spot" method for avoiding woes.. Saying that, I would be wary of using it in a full time manner.

I have not actually tried a scrubber but heard it worked well someone called it steel wool on a forum once, and I was like wtf... Steel wool ignites so I was thrown off it at first but a scrubber makes more sense. Lol I'll try to post pics later!
