Hi all Nexus Nation,

First time we did Mimosa, few weeks ago we were very careful and apprehensive: my husband Danesh is Mexican and in this country Tepezcohuete can turn you blind. Also we are afraid of the strength of the plant

So we started the session:

500mg of Caapi, waited for 30 minutes and then stared with Mimosa,

I was administrating to Danesh, first 5 ml which will be 0.5g of Mimosa. In 20 minutes I gave him 10ml more... nothing was happening. I keep on adding more every 20 minutes, eventually to end up giving him 50 ml within one hour, which would be 5g of Mimosa. Nothing happened. He was on the bed for 2 and some hours but no any effect.

As a consequence the following weekend I did 500mg of Caapi exctract, and then I took at once 50ml which would be 5 g, and had a very difficult journey, as described here.

Than next time Danesh took 1,5 g of Caapi, and 2,5 g and had amazing trip that lasted whole night...

My conclusion is that it has to be taken AT ONCE, the whole thing. Up grading is not actually a good practice.

I heard of upgrading it for full flood of Ibogaine. Instead of taking it all at once, some opt to take it in four parts. The experience and the effect of the plant is ruined...

In general upgrading is not good or even not possible for many plants, it is best to decide how much to take and then take it at once.

For me redosing more def works. There is no tolerance with ayahuasca IME..it just gets stronger with the second dose. Many times I have taken a dose over a period of time and built up to very very strong extended peaks.

I have never heard of this, can you please elaborate? How can Tepezcohuete turn you blind?

Monkier,

Tepezcohuite is mexican folk medicine, and as a myth people talk that you may get blind by drinking the tee made of tree bark, not root bark. Here in mexico it is all over the place as creams, cosmetics, powders, for burns...

This is not official by no means, I was just mentioning it as a background cultural fear we had to deal on our first trip.

Jamie,

what are your recipes for upgrading, in mg of each ingredients, or amounts. Can you elaborate pls?

To me it went the wrong way, and wast of product. And I can assure you that it doesn't work for Ibogaine...

hmm..I dont really measure redoses..just pured out what looks good and drink..wait..drink some more in a bit till I end up where I want to be. I have overdone it a few times this way though also..which is never fun, especially when you overdo the harmalas.
