Dear DMT-nexus's,

I have been reading about SKA's dream, initiative, and all your reactions/suggestions to it.

As I'm a new member, I can only post in the ''welcome area'', for now.

I wonder if there are any updates on the plan/vision?

For example, for many reasons, I would propose Costa Rica as a suitable, tropical climate, and a safe country for realizing all of this. I have been living in Costa Rica for the past 12 months, mostly working in agriculture/permaculture and etnabotanical gardens, and can attest to the fact that it definitely is feasible to live very cheaply off the land and thrive (especially with the abundantly growing roots and perennial greens). There's some really good 8 to 50 hectare properties for sale in the 100000 to 250000 dollar range. With 10 to 20 people being able to invest 10000 to 20000 dollar, this could be very possible.

Of course, dedication and clarity of purpose, common values etc. is required. But more than anything else, it seems to depend on being willing to let go of some/many of our comforts, and just eating and drinking what the land offers, both naturally and through our energy/efforts. Ongoing expenses could be very low, though initial funds for housing, primary/basic infrastructure, tools and the like, are hard to avoid.

Hope to hear from any of you!

Kind regards.
