Hi, Nexus!
I just made my account today, and this is my first post. I've never tripped on DMT before, but I've done a lot of research, and I'm excited to try it. I'm currently in the market for a simple and easy tek for someone who doesn't know the first thing about chemistry, but that isn't why I'm writing this.
I'm a cancer survivor. I've been in remission for about a year, but I'll still be getting chemo for another year. My doses aren't as high as they used to be, and my procedures aren't as frequent, although I still take oral medication daily. Meanwhile, I'm taking so little that I have a full head of hair and a normal amount of energy. You wouldn't even know to look at me that I was ever sick.
My question is whether or not DMT could interact with the medications I'm on. I take Mercaptapurine every day (chemo), Bactrim several days a week (antibiotic), prednisone several days a month (steroid), and methotrexate once a week (heavy chemo).
I'm not counting on anyone here being a professional pharmacist or chemist or anything. I'm just wondering if anyone knows someone who's been in a situation similar to mine, but I appreciate any help you can give me!
Thanks! RoomPatrol

Hi Roompatrol. Im suspecting you have had a haematological malignancy from the medication you're taking. May I ask what was the diagnosis? I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

Oh, wow, my bad. That's probably something I should have included in my first post. The diagnosis was Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Acute lymphocytic (or more correctly, lymphoblastic) leukemia differs from the myeloid type insofar as ALL requires therapy to clear the central nervous system. Are you having any intra-thecal chemo these days? I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. I get lumbar punctures every third month, but the doctos are slowly decreasing the frequency with which I get them. Could the intrathecal methotrexate interfere with spice?

Do you know if your cerebrospinal fluid is now clear of blasts? As regards the safety of using DMT whilst undergoing intra-thecal chemo, Im afraid I cannot say with any degree of certainty whether or not this would be safe or not, or if intra-thecal MTX would have an adverse effect or not.In fact I doubt if this could be confidently commented on by even your average hematologist or oncologist.I may be wrong on this, however, but I dont feel qualified enough to give an opinion. One thing to note is that corticosteroids like prednisone can have psychotropic effects including psychotic features but more often than not its dose-dependant; taking hefty doses of such steroids with a powerful psychedelic like DMT could potentially have adverse psychological effects. I don't know for sure if my CSF is clear yet, but it's probably pretty dang close by now. I only have a few more spinal taps for the rest of treatment. I'll ask next time I'm in because you've got me interested.
I don't feel any of the side affects of the prednisone any more. Whether that's because I've been taking it semi-regularly for so long or because I'm now taking significantly smaller doses with larger breaks in between, I'm not sure. But, that's good to know.
Hmm. It's a little disappointing that there's no way to know for sure whether the intra-thecal MTX and the DMT will interact with each other negatively, but I'm still really glad my friend directed me to the Nexus. You've been more informative than I ever expected possible. Many, many thanks, Corpus. So, would your professional advice be to just wait until I'm totally finished treatment to make the jump to hyperspace, just to be safe?

Because of the unknowns pertaining to intra-thecal methotrexate and possible adverse effects, waiting until you no longer need treatment via this route would be the safest course of action.DMT is great, but your health should be the primary consideration. This is a lil of the DMT topic but have you ever tried/heard of THC oil or Rick Simpson? These guys seem to be getting some results and because its an illegal medicine its not really well known.... Which pisses me off immensly... Lost my gran last year to this horrible desease and all i wish is i could have shown her this... Heres a link though if your interested http://www.cureyourowncancer.org/rick-simpson.htmlGood luck for the future Roompatrol and I hope this info helps! Kyle, I haven't heard of Rick Simpson or THC oil, but I just spent a while exploring that link, and it looks very interesting. I'm sorry about your gran, and I appreciate your concern. I'm so glad I found this community.
