This is the second time I grow mushrooms, which is a bit exciting considering I last did it maybe 6+ years ago. I also haven't taken any shrooms for about 4 years so I'm excited to trip on them once again.

Last time I used a premade growbox (same as now) and got something over 300g+ fresh mushrooms (about the lower limit of what was promised); but then I spoiled the final flush.
This time, I went for a premade growbox again (not the same one) - but I want to take a spore print this time and later move on to doing some growing from scratch. That shouldn't be harder than cutting off a cap and placing it on a piece of paper yes? Then mix the spores with destilled water and suck it up a syringe? Anyway, here's my log. It's not supposed to be anything fancy I just want to share some pictures and info and maybe prevent some errors.

Mushrooms: Psilocybe Cubensis B+ strain
Cultivating medium: Premade plastic growbox sealed in a plastic bag and with an air filter. The box contains a substrate of rye and perlite (ratio unknown) and the substrate seemed very solid even prior to when I added water. There's also a top layer of vermiculite.
Environment: Room in my apartment that has an average temp of 24C (75F) during the days, mornings and evenings but around 21C during the night. I did get peaks of up to 26-27C though because summer decided to arrive early in sweden. No direct sunlight. Clean room. I also added extra water to the box on several occasions.
Total cultivation time: 68 days
Total amount of mushrooms: ~730g (fresh) - ~73g (dried)

Day 1 @ 20:00 - soaked in water (room temp). 21C in room
Day 2 @ 08:00 - excess water poured out. Aluminum foil added, box placed in plastic bag with 1dl/half a cup of water in the bottom (outside the box). Bag sealed just above the air filter. 23C in the morning.
Day 3 - 24C
Day 4 - 24C morning, 22C evening
Day 5 - 24C
Day 6 - 24C. Noticable mycelium spread.
Day 7 - 24C
Day 8 - 23C. Signs of pins forming. Only mycelium-white in color right now.
Day 9 - 24C. First babies appear (pins). In the evening the largest pin is <2cm
Day 10 - 24C. Largest pin <2cm. In the evening it's >4cm. Over 100% growth in 12 hours.
Day 11 - 24C. Largest mushroom is 6cm in the morning. 10cm when I go to bed. Again over 100% growth in 12 hours.
Day 12 - No temp reading. Largest mushroom is 13cm.
Day 13 - 24C. Largest mushroom is over 20cm.
Day 14 - 24C. Largest one has opened it's cap. Length over 30cm.
Day 15 - 24C. Harvest +dunk for 12 hours. 170g fresh. Tossed away the aborts when I should've kept them. Stupid.
Day 16 - 25C+.
Day 18 - 25C. Tiny ones appearing.
Day 19 - 25C. Largest is little over 2,5cm.
Day 20 - 24C. Largest is little over 5cm. Something is wrong though since some shrooms are shaped like an upside down J (too little water, or maybe UV exposure?, hmm)
Day 21 - 25C. 8+ cm
Day 22 - 26C. 14+ cm in the morning, 17+ cm in the evening.
Day 23 - 26C. The cap of the largest shroom is almost open.
Day 24 - 27C. Very hot day today. Thinking the shrooms did not like the heat, I harvested the "faulty" ones. The ones shaped like upsidedown J's were removed (largest was 20cm+). I got around 31g fresh so it was just a long, thin shroom and some smaller ones. No new dunk however.
Day 25 - 27C. Still very hot weather. New pins have arrived! 2cm small ones. Evening: 25C - added extra water to the box.
Day 26 - 26C. I now have my window open all the time. Largest shroom is 10cm. Got two bent shrooms as well.
Day 27 - 26C+. The largest one has grown a little more.
Day 28 - 25C. The largest one is suddenly 40% larger! And in the evening it's become 30cm tall. The extra water and fresh air in the room did a lot.
Day 29 - 25C. Harvest +dunk. Removed the small blue aborts. Box under water for 8 hours. Only the first dunk required 12 hours according to instructions.
Day 30 - 24C in the room. Drained the box of excess water. Second restart.
Day 32 - 25C
Day 33 - 26C. Pins appearing (1,5cm)
Day 34 - 26C. Largest is a 4cm thick guy.
Day 35 - 27C. Largest is now 8cm. 26C by evening, now 10cm tall.
Day 36 - 25C and 14cm in the morning. 24C and 20cm in the evening.
Day 37 - 24C. All of them are now large. Harvest tomorrow?
Day 38 - 25C. Harvest and dunk for 8 hours. Over 110g fresh. The mushies think the temp is fine. Must have been air quality or UV that hurt them before.
Day 39 - 25C
Day 40 - 25C
Day 42 - 26C. Got pins in the evening - but only on the sides. Temp then was around 25C.
Day 43 - 26C. Largest is 4cm.
Day 44 - 25C. Grown to 7cm.
Day 45 - 24C. Largest is 25 to 30cm. OMG. What the heck happend? It has grown like 300% in 24 hours.
Day 46 - 26C. Largest is over 35cm long. Harvest and dunk (8 hours). Restarted in the evening. Did not log the amount of shrooms I got since I had to rush to work.
Day 47 - 24C.
Day 49 - 26C. More water added in the evening.
Day 50 - 20C. Cool day. 2cm pins in the corners.
Day 51 - 25C. Largest one is 6cm by midnight.
Day 52 - 25C. Largest shroom is 8cm - 12cm in the evening, and 20cm at midnight.
Day 53 - 26C. Largest is now 30cm. Harvest but no dunk - I'm gone over the weekend. Added a little water instead.
Day 57 - 26C. Small pins at the side.
Day 58 - 26C. Largest one is 4,5cm. 7cm in the evening.
Day 59 - 26C. Largest is 12,5cm. Midnight: 25C - largest has grown to 20+ cm
Day 60 - 26C. Harvest +dunk (8 hours). This time I took out the entire cake, and turned it upside down since all nutrition in the center was gone. This way the bottom corners of the cake would get more light. Hopefully it works.
Day 62 - 24,5C.
Day 63 - 26C.
Day 64 - 26C.
Day 65 - 26C. Pins - 3 small ones.
Day 66 - 25C. Now 4 small ones. Largest is 7cm.
Day 67 - 26C. Largest is 14cm.
Day 68 - 28C. Once again I've got a 300% growth over 24 hours. Largest one is now 30cm. A few hours later I harvested due to the caps being open. Turns out that flipping the cake upsidedown was a good idea. Cake now probably completely void of nutrition - no more restarts.

Comments: These grow a lot faster than my last box. When I discussed this in chat people seemed quite astonished that I got pins after only a week. And now the growth has impressed me too. During the first flush, the shrooms grew 100% every 24 hours - and it became even more amazing later on when I at two different occasions got an approximate growth of 300% during 24 hours. The B+ strain is truly amazing. 65 grams of dried mushrooms is twice as much as I got from my first growbox

Awesome! Alls you need to do now is start growing from spores and get a bigger operation going.

The exponential growth of a +100% every day has slowed down significantly so I guess its time to harvest them soon. The biggest one has started opening it´s cap and all.
