SWIM happens to have 1kg of MHRB sitting around, and is looking to extract some alkaloids that may or may not exist! SWIM wonders though, what is the best way to make the most out of the bark?

Should I do 2 large extractions, one whole extraction, 10 small ones, or some other combination?

Do some reading on the forums please...There is endless information on extractions and we're not really fans of spoon feeding

I highly recommend you SAVE a large portion of your mhrb for now, considering the situation sorrounding it and all. I would stick with 150g or less extractions. Yields can be higher this way and theres really no reason to try and do it all at once.

but yeah I would definitely do several smaller extractions.. if you use it all and then botch it you will not be a happy camper. 1kg should last you a long time considering MHRB usually has a 1-2% yield

Yeah i saw that he mentioned that acacian. What i was referring to was his idea of extracting ALL of it, regardless of whether or not he choose to break it up and do many small extractions at once

Pour 1kg MHRB in a large popcorn bowl, add milk, and eat like cereal. Mm-mmm good, better than Lucky Charms!

Thanks for the replies, you confirmed what I have already come to know through the years of patchy reading. I certainly did not want to inconvenience anyone with my lazy way of getting confirmation - it can be a lot to sift through the non-pertinent material and find non-controversial opinion.

I think 50 - 100g at a time is good. That way you can try different teks and see what works best for you. With just 50g of mhrb there is the possibility of getting 1g of spice if you are lucky.

I'd say, that what to do best depends on your skill/experience with those extractions.

I'm in a similar situation...1kg mhrb liying arround. I did some extractions before and now feel confident enough to try my best at a larger scale. I.e. 300g instead of 50g. Those small extration work fine and so on...but the worktime imho is just too much.

So that's my main reason why I would like to scale things up a little.

in my opinion: do the acid cook and basification on a large batch (say 300-500g), then break that batch up into smaller batches for your pulls (like 100-150).

as long as you keep the bark hydrated, it can be in the base stage for quite a long time (at least a few months - more than long enough for you to pull it all).

and the longer it bases, the higher your yield (per pull). that way you get the benefit of doing a large extraction (lots of DMT in a fairly little amount of time), with the efficiency of a small one.

I only ask because if there's something that's going to deny me access to MHRB from my supplier then i would want to get some more soon? Or any other plants for that matter.
