Just wanted to introduce myself, officially. I have been monitoring a few of the acacia confusa threads for about 2 weeks (as i have about 1kg acacia confusa and have started toying with different ayahuasca and straight acacia brews)
I honestly got tired of not being able to contribute, so I finally joined this forum. I am not a member of other dmt/psychedelic forums, and this one seemed to have much more information on acacia confusa. I specifically LOVE and have much respect for all the experiences and research provided by mindbody (or is it mindb0dy?)
So, let me give you a quick background into my knowledge I suppose.
What psychedelics SWIM MAY have tried:
1. DMT
2. LSD
3. Psilocybin
4. LSA (Hawaiian)
5. Acacia Confusa (No MAOI)
6. I have yet to try acacia + syrian as my syrian rue is on its way.
--My personal/life history.
Been in the information technology field all my life, when I was 16, I was already managing a small computer repair store in my local town. Now, I work for a fairly large corporation and have a cushy desk job and monitor servers all day. I am currently studying biochemistry, and my wife is studying law. (random, but hey, just giving some background) I have a little girl on the way, she is due September 2nd. VERY EXCITED

I just want to note that out of all the forums I've seen, this one is by far the most supportive and loving. Glad I finally joined and I am ready to contribute!
::Starting With::
--SWIMS First Acacia Confusa Experience--
I saw that a lot of people were speculating as to whether or not the ROOT bark of this plant are orally active without an MAOI. Upon countless hours of searching, I constantly ended up on the same thread, or a similar thread linked to a thread I just read.
So... SWIM decided to just go for it..
(SWIM had no drugs whatsoever in my system for about 7 days) no thc, nothing.
Based on "MindBody's" experience report. I prepared my Acacia Confusa bark and brewed it following his instruction. (except obviously lowering the dosage) I took about a handful of acacia ROOT bark, and ground it to as fine a powder as I could. I then put 2Tbsp of the powder in a small pot and brewed/pulled 3 times x45min each. Making sure not to boil, but lightly simmer, and filtering out/skimming each time etc. What i ended up with was an orange/brown tea/coffee looking beverage. It smelled rather "earthly" and kind of delicious actually. It was a little bitter, and if I tried to chug it, i felt like my throut/mouth would dry out. So i slowly sipped over the course of about 10/15min. I was completly finished drinking the "tea" at 7:32am.
--SIDENOTE (SWIM got off work at 4:30am, the wife went to work, I prepared myself and my home and started brewing)--
7:42am -- Feeling rather lightheaded, put on music and laid in bed.
7:47am -- Nausea for about 30 seconds MAYBE, followed by my stomach feeling "amazing" (Not sure how to describe this, but the COMPLETE opposite of nausea)
7:50am -- Seemed like I had tracers possibly, but maybe placebo. Additionally, I noticed that I kept wanting to "rub" my bed? I felt very blissful and happy. At one point, I looked out the window and just giggled. It was odd...
8:05am -- Affects are much more minimal now, however still feeling "blissful" and actually starting to get tired.
8:15am -- Still Blissful

** NOW, I dont know if this was because I just worked an 8 hour shift overnight, or if this was from the acacia directly. However, The entire time, I seemed VERY calm, almost as if the acacia had sedative properties..?
I still continued to be quite overly happy throughout the day, and the things that normally made me anxious, didn't bother me in the slightest. Very pleasant experience. I am going to follow up with a higher dosage, and my next step, when my rue gets here, is to try the syrian rue/acacia confusa brew.
I am definitely looking forward to contributing as well as seeing what more this forum has to offer. Thanks everyone! I hope this was helpful, and I believe I adhered to all the guidelines still.
Sincerely,
Vallencio
