Hi,

This is my first post here and I am hopefully seeking some advice for my addiction issues. I am not a troll but a genuine person who has issues with food addiction which has led to my becoming very overweight, depressed and generally very lacking in motivation.

I recently tried nitrous followed by ketamine and was very impressed and amazed by how these worked and the nitrous especially seemed to give me revelations about other issues I have relating to anxiety and social phobias, etc.

I have heard of iboga for opiate addiction and am looking to try this for my own issues. I do not have a "sitter" or someone who could help me with this process if I did acquire some so if I try it, it would have to be the low dose method.

I ask you to please let me know if you think this could work and is the low dose method of iboga successful, to your knowledge. As I have anxiety I do not wish to try more intense psychedelics or DMT, though these substances do interest me which is what brought me here.

I know the logical solution to this problem is healthy eating and exercise and that this is the only way to achieve my goals but I am unable to stay motivated or stick to things at this stage.

I do not believe I am a lost cause as I have lost and gained a significant amount of weight twice before in my life, however, in both cases it has returned. I have lost the will to do it without help. Also I see a dietition and have had counselling for this but nothing seems to help.

Can you please just advise about the iboga and if it would be safe to do a low dose session of it alone.

Thanks

Hello,

Swim would recommend this theoretical person you are talking about try dmt and iboga.
Not at the same time of course but it may be healthy to try both. Swim must add that he is not completely aware of the anti addictive chemistry of dmt or iboga but he can say this, dmt and iboga will give you revelations of the mind and spirit that can help you through any situation. Also it would be healthy to ask yourself what thoughts am i thinking while eating?
Usually a negative emotion triggers the eating, recognize this emotion and realize there is no reason to feel it and try and think better feeling thoughts about the subject in order to wane away the negative emotion.

Do not condemn yourself for feeling the emotion or taking the action of eating because there is not good in doing so. Make peace with where you are and MEDITATE FREQUENTLY.(atleast a half hour a day)

Much love.

Thanks so much for your reply.

Not sure if I am game to try dmt as it sounds very intense. Maybe I will start with the iboga as I was told it can increase your will?

Anyone else have any experience with this effect?

Thanks Smile

Hi somegirl,

I'm sorry to hear you are suffering from depressions and eating disorders. I would be very careful with iboga especially when doing it alone.

Personally I have tried iboga only in very low doses and at these doses found it insufficient to help with depressions. Some people try micro-doses of harmalas / B. Caapi and say it helps with depression. I have tried this also and found it only worked for the first few days for me.

However, one-time experiences of sufficiently high dosed mushrooms or ayahuasca (analogues) have had better results for me. The oral rout with dmt (i.e. ayahuasca or analogues) is intense but not quite as scary as vaporizing it. The same goes for mushrooms. Also a big factor is dosing. I'm a bit hard-headed when it comes to getting the messages so I dose myself higher. Lots of people get the messages on lower doses which are easier to handle and not all that scary.

On one occasion mushrooms yanked me out of my depressions almost instantly, while a few years later when the depressions returned and I tried oral dmt among other things to change my perspective it didn't work instantaneously. However it did give me a perspective with which I was able to step by step work my way out of it.

As you said, the logical solution is apparent/obvious but the motivation to stick to it is not always present. I can relate to this a lot. I do believe that ayahuasca or mushrooms could help you motivate yourself or find the reasons for why you are feeling incapable of motivating yourself. It might not be an easy path to walk though. The revelations might be difficult to take. The suggestions might be difficult to follow. One of the greatest and hardest thigns I seem to have to learn over and over again in these experiences is to forgive myself so I can start doing good things for myself.

I would not recommend iboga without proper guidance! Even at small doses. I believe it will not unfold its transformative power without a guide and the proper preparation.

I would recommend looking into ayahuasca and mushrooms for possible alternatives that can teach you a lot about yourself and thus help you figure out a solution for your problems.

Good luck!

Buon viso a cattivo gioco!
