Hi all,

Great to join this community.

A little intro to me - I am what I term an intermediate psychonaut looking to get to meet with and explore DMT. My first real encounter with psychedelics started around the age of 19 when I had an amazing, amazing experience with liberty caps. I had previously had 3 trips with LSD tabs (strawberries) but that felt too manufactured and I was in the wrong settings, with the wrong people. I decided to head out with some friends to try magic mushrooms instead. I was eating them fresh out of the ground whilst we were collecting. One for me, one for the bag. 150 mushrooms later - in a beautiful park with ancient trees and deer ever - and I had reached heaven. All the solutions to my problems seemed clear and I knew that I would always be alright no matter what. It was a tremendous feeling, with lots of euphoria and closeness to nature.

I had stumbled upon psychedelics in my exploration of all drugs. At the time I didn't understand the potential for consciousness expansion, healing or exploration of reality at that stage. I took magic mushrooms once more but I did it with the wrong people and didn't have the same experience.

That was the end of my exploration for several years until I ended doing them again with a friend. We would go into the woods at night, make a fire, and trip out. I did this three times and absolutely loved a combination of MDMA and magic mushroom. But again, I still didn't understand the potential of psychedelics. I was doing these as recreational drugs.

Then I came across Iboga, another tryptamine-based plant medecine, and my views started to evolve and develop. I did four Iboga floods and this has helped me enormously in life. I did it specifically for spiritual reasons and this has really opened my eyes to the potential of psychedelics in my quest to become a happy, mature, helpful human being. I really want to move onto ayahuasca but I have a calling to do this in the Amazon in a 'real' setting. I have learned that the people you are with, and the setting are fundamental to the learning outcomes of a trip.

For completeness sake I have also taken cannabis, MDMA and Kambo (and one Peyote mushroom that did very very little so I won't count this!).

I have read Dr Rick Strassman's book recently and wish to explore DMT next. I believe the lessons from this will take me to the next level. None of my friends are into this so I am really trying to find a community of like-minded people to help source/create/experience DMT with.

So that's my story. I look forwards to sharing and learning from this forum, and even meeting up with some of you along the way.
