-What is the optimal temperature?

-What is the minimal temperature for the brew to be resonably potent?

-How mush is too high a temperature, and will it affect the potency of the brew?

Thanks.

Even if you burn the brew it will still be very active and you probably wont notice any loss in potency, it will just caramalize and taste worse

Just keep it right above the threshold of boiling

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Haha! Love that lobster joke Razz

I know very little about chemistry. Actually, I wasn't sure wether or not erowid (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dmt/dmt_chemistry.shtml) was stating DMT actually evaporates before water does. This is why I asked.

Thanks for the info.

Edit: Moreover, my last 3 brews were very weak. However, I guess in the end it is because I used too little water rather than a too low temperature.

To eliminate all risks, you can to switch to double boiler method (a smaller pot in a larger pot, or a pan that act as a lid on top of a pot boiling water as the steam is great enough heat)
