Hey all, I finally took some of that HCl SWIM made in the mescaline pics thread, and what a great trip it was.
After class and working all day, at around 5pm on a brisk sunny spring day, I spontaneously decided I wanted to take some mesc. So I called up my buddy and he happily decided he would partake in the experience with me. My mind state was right and I hadnt eaten since lunch, so I brewed some coffee and mixed in 450mg shiny tan mesc hcl, downed it, and went over to J's house.
Once I got there we chatted and drank some saki while I waited for effects to begin. At 45 minutes in I could already feel effects coming on, no doubt becuase the doses were dissolved in coffee. I did not really expect too much from the trip but I was in for a suprise. At about 1 hr in my buddy, J, dosed his in a glass of water and chased with some saki. Since his house was extremely boring, we decided to go hiking down by the river cliffs. Driving there (bad idea), we played MGMT which was sounding amazing and I could already see rainbows dancing in the sky.
When we got to the river there was a brilliant spring sunset in the sky. Although the trees had not bloomed yet, they seemed to be radiating and stretching/waving back and forth in the wind. We hiked down some bluffs and to our amazement found a large frozen waterfall which had to be climbed in/behind. After walking around some more we came to a large area of sandstone at the rivers edge with many hieroglyphics written all over. I sat there awhile gazing at the brilliant colors begining to manifest in the sky and swirl around my feet, and the horizon of trees waving and twisting in the background. Then I realized we had been there 1 hr... too long for comfort as I was really coming up now and had to drive back still. We hopped in the car and began back to his place. Right away I stated, "Well this is easily the most interesting drive of my life," I'm sure he could hear the concern in my voice. On the way back towards the end I was struggling to remember the route as the roads were stretching out and taking on a different look, morphing into colors. We arived back at his place and immediately felt relieved to be back in safety.
I do not condone driving on psychedelics for anybody, it is not smart.We sat down in J's room on his bed and put on some music. I could tell he was starting to come up and at this point I was full-on tripping. The ceiling turned to a rainbow oil painting, emitting jets of fractals, swirling colored lines and color pin points. Mosaic images of beautiful woman and creatures danced all over the walls. The entire time was very euphoric and relaxed. We sat there discussing God, reality, and the oneness of everything, and I could understand how the different incredibly complex receptors in our brain fired signals to produce thoughts, cool stuff. After a while, his room mate came over who I am very attracted to and we hung out for abit in which time I really seemed to connect with her. Then she left and some more people came over that we drank with for the rest of the night, all while tripping pretty hard... I always love how sociable you are while on mescaline.
At around 1am, I left and went home, still mildly tripping and proceeding to not sleep the entire night unfortunately. Had to take my car in to a shop to replace a windshield early in the morning and then slept for 2hrs before working the rest of the day. Got home and slept for 12 hrs.
All in all, it was a really great experience and I was suprised how potent the dose was from only 450mg. The not eating and dissolving it in coffee likely played a huge role in its effect.
