hello psychoactive, welcome to the NexusThumbs up

I wish i could go out hunting for DMTree's, it sounds like good fun. Glad to hear your concerned about sustainable harvesting of the bark and your not just gonna randomly strip it off.

Be carefull on private land and dont forget to employ all your ninja skills to stay below the radar, or better yet now you have made a positive ID try to find some more tree's that aint on private land.

I strongly suggest that you get permission or buy it online and buy it. Making DMT is one thing, but to steal from someone to do so another.

Welcome to the nexus!

I say if your sneaky enough and will harvest sustainably, go for it! Maybe you could even propagate it on your land. Anywas i dont think any 1 human owns any 1 part of nature. Just make sure to be considerate and maybe even speak a few kind words to the tree before harvesting

However, dont expect your first extraction to be a success and you wont be dissappointed!! (I know, it sounds rough; but look at it the other way)

Also i know most if not all of the tree of acacia confusa contains alks, so i would think that applies to other acacias
Once again, welcome to the best forum on the net Thumbs up

You can search for dead trees, or pick up tree branches that have been snapped off due to storms or other natural means and take what has naturally fallen on the ground. That way you are not hurting a healthy living tree, nor stealing from anyone either. If you know what you are doing, you can prune some sucker branches, but only if you know how to prune and where. There is a wrong way and a right way to pruning. I also second the advice to get permission from the landowner to see if you can find fallen branches or to prune, just in case they catch you on their property, dislike it and charge you with trespassing or vandalism, or worse.

I agree 100% with tranquil. But i think it would be a tad odd asking someone for dead tree limbs, or alive tree parts.

I guess it depends on the person your asking

Agreed. I'm not sure what excuse or reason you could give that wouldn't raise suspicion or eyebrows. A student of botany interested in that particular species of tree and needing some samples without harming it? I'm sure others can think of better ideas.

Or just find another practical/legal means of obtaining the bark.
