Hi, everyone! My name is Jesus (Jes for short, not to ruffle anyone's feathers), and I'm a 21 year old male from New Orleans, just looking for a way to enjoy life from all angles and promote a positive sense of well being towards others. I have recently had my first trip, by which I was completely fascinated by and will speak of in my next thread (to help with meaning, I guess). Since then, I've been extremely intrigued by hyperspace and how the drug completely altered my way of being, like kind of making me into a better person, so to speak. When I mention the drug in a discussion, people tend to look at me with a stupor, some with fear, and some with curiosity. Thus, when I give my explanation of what happened, and how things happened, they just either think its too farfetched in itself, or can't comprehend that I'm trying to explain a beautiful experience which has VERY few words to describe, in a way that the English language lacks the words to describe such things. After reading a few posts, I'm confident that I've found a place where my thoughts can be shared among intellectual and open minded individuals; and a big factor is that you've all been through roughly the same ambience and can better understand what I would say. Anyway, I'm glad I found a cool forum to discuss a rather complex substance with people who know about it and can help me in my future journeys Very happy

Welcome to the Nexus Jes.

The DMT experience is almost impossible to explain to someone who has not tried it. I just gave up on explaining any of that stuff. I like to keep it on the downlow now.

So have you done any other psychedelics?

You can't hide from the Grim Reaper. Especially when he's got a gun.

Hello Jesus...I would be very careful who you talk about your experiences with. The narrow minded will only see it is an illegal drug and may even report you to the authorities, rather than seeing it as a mind expanding alternate way of living/thinking.

How and what did you trip on? Welcome to the forums, I am also new and wondering when I can actually post about what I came here to post about lol.

Hi Jesus,

Welcome to the Nexus. Being a West Coaster, I know and have known a number of folks named Jesus and no ruffled feathers here.

I really enjoyed reading your introduction essay. I think many many of us here know "the look" you were describing. We have tried to explain our experiences to friends and trusted loved ones and we get "the look" in response. Eventually we give up or tone it down. But, when it's so fresh, it's hard not to want to share with the world.

That's where the Nexus comes in - it's a safe place to do just that. Post experience reports, share thoughts, revelations, experiences, insights and personal growth patterns. And so much more. There's lots of cutting edge research going on here. One just has to look around a bit to see how huge this place is.

So, I would recommend discretion when discussing an experience that was catalyzed by a Schedule I drug too. This is a good place to let it all hang out, so to speak. And instead of "the look" you get a lot of understanding.

Also, I cannot help but recommend that we all continually and daily work to expand our vocabularies. This is a lifelong project and English is a HUGE and very expressive language. Language does not do justice to the DMT experience, it is true, BUT, having a big vocabulary helps me to at least spiral around the thing even if I cannot touch it directly in using language descriptions.

Ah, but I rant too much, Big grin.

Be sure to check out our plant research areas as well as extraction teks. There's a lot of research going on here and a big philosophy of "grow and extract your own entheogens." You can find extraction teks in the wiki, seed and live plant suppliers in the suppliers section etc. This just in case you want to continue your work with this amazing entheogen.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."
