"In 24 hours, the European Union will vote on whether to ban toxic pesticides that are killing bees around the world"

http://www.avaaz.org/en/...bal/?bdFnfeb&v=23058

I hope this petition will ban the pesticides.
Make yourself heard and sign the petition if you think bees are more important then corporations.

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

It's ridiculous that bees have a better life expectancy in polluted cities than in rural areas because of the use of certain pesticides.

Although mister Alexander Shulgin gave us humans beautiful substances he also invented Zectran when he worked for Dow which is part of this problem. The duality.... I always wonder how he feels about this.

I'm guessing this had alot to do with Shulgin's decision to leave Dow.
Amongst other things I think, being the nature lover he is, he was motivated
by guilt to cut all ties with Dow. He since then choose a risky, much lesser
payed, but much more idealistic path.

Haven't chemists invented new, less ecologically devastating pesticides in the
meantime? Are there no pesticides that kill only lice(& whatever else is a serious
threat to crops), but don't harm other insects? Or is there no such Pesticide?
