Hey all. In my haste and excitement at first discovering DMT and the NEXUS after a years long hiatus from psychedelic use, I have rudely neglected to formally introduce myself here. This site in itself is a vast mindspace, with a collective wealth of knowledge and experience from around the world. I am very glad to have found this site, I think even more so than the substance itself, for after the spice is gone, the NEXUS and its members will still remain.

So here's a little bit about MEO

I am a 28 year old construction worker who lives and works in beautiful southeastern British Columbia, Canada. I have a beautiful wife and a beautiful two year old son. I am physically fit and extremely active. I have always taken advantage of the natural wonders here, the forrests, waters, and high Rocky Mountains. I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, river rafting, biking.... anything out doors. I have an enormous respect and appreciation for nature and its beauty, and can't imagine living anywhere else in the world.

My history with substance use is a two sided coin. Starting in my mid teens, I began smoking marijuana, almost daily, with no adverse effects to my schoolwork or family life. From the beginning to this day, I have always loved marijuana, as it is completely natural, and in my opinion the most useful medicine on earth.

Appealing to my love of nature and natural things, my first psychedelic experience was with cubensis mushrooms. It was full of wonder and surprise, and very much strengthened my love of nature.

I am an athiest, believing in the science of evolution, and the psychedelic experience opened my mind to the possibility of a "god like" experience. Branching out into LSD and mescaline, i repeatedly tried to, but never was able to find this. These experiences were overall positive, and were a large part of my personal growth and coming of age.

In college, my use turned to abuse, with the introduction of, and easy access to drugs like cocaine, MDMA, heroine, and various prescription medications. I became ignorant of exploration, and began taking anything I could just to get high and try to quell my lust for inebriation. This was the worst time of my life.

After college, having barely graduated, I decided I had to get clean. I signed myself into a detoxification and rehab program, but because I could not come to terms with the religion involved in NA, and the rehab program's zero tollerance of marijuana use, I was kicked out of the program. After relapsing and moving backwards into heavy cocaine addiction over the next few months, I knew it was up to me to make myself better.

Cutting all ties I had to the drug world, I stayed home, changed my phone number, spent lots of time with my family, exercised, and finally cured my addiction. That was ten years ago, and the joy of this personal triumph is still with me today.

Since then, I have built my career, a house, and started a beautiful family. I had been drug free other than marijuana, until about two months ago when a friend offered me DMT.While I was in college, I had heard of it, and thought that I was now maybe mature and stable enough to try it, and return to the world of psychedelics. It was a profound experience, and since then I have had nine more, each of them infinitely wonderous and different, including the ever elusive god experience. The power of DMT is the strongest I have experienced, and the Nexus and its members have been invaluable to me, for helping to integrate and begin to understand these experiences. So that's a little bit about MEO, thanks guys......

So glad you escaped the hard stuff. I do feel that life is better without opiates and other hard drugs, though it seems to me that opiates can trick you into thinking otherwise.

It was nice to meet you on the chat, and I hope to have more conversations in the future.

Welcome to the Nexus MEO.

I was once a heroin/opiate addict as well. I am glad to hear that you stopped. I haven't been on them in three years. It can really go down hill fast.
