Hi all.
Sorry if this is wrong place to post my question, but I don't have account on other forums.. my question: I had some cubensis shroomz for around a year, they were potent last time I took them [a year ago], but now few of my friends had them and no effect. what could possibly go wrong, can they loose potency during this period of time? I kept them in ziplock bag, which was in a jar with some of this white stuff that takes the moisture out of the air [don't know how it is called]. white stuff was in a jar, shrooms in a baggie so there was no direct contact with it!

Seems unlikely that, stored well as you describe, they've lost all of their potency. Might your friends have taken too small an amount? Might their tolerances have been elevated for any reason? More description of the situation might help. How much did they take? Are they on any antidepressants? I've heard they should be kept in a dark place, where did you store them? I think they should not have lost any potency We are surprisingly similar.

it was two ocasions my friends took them:
one guy by himself, empty stomach, he doesn't use medicine of any kind as far as I am aware. it was 3g dried. after 3 hours he took another 3g, waited for two hours again and then he went to sleep. no other substances involved. it was his second time taking psychadelics, first time was shrooms as well, and probably from the same batch, and he tripped very nicely.
another time two guys took 3g each, probably not on empty stomach, but even of full you should feel it, it just should come up slower. they both had first attempt. as far as I know only a joint was involved in that evening activities, but it would definately help it, not stop it.
shrooms were kept in darkness all time, I just don't know what to think. would be good idea to try myself, but my last trip was so shocking that I still am not comfortable with idea of taking it again soon..

Don't waste anymore of your old shrooms. They are still good!!  Purchase an maoi such as caapi or harmala and I guarantee they will work (as long as they are indeed psychedelic mushrooms lol) Be careful in your dosing though to avoid serotonin poisoning I stumble down a wooded path. I was tripping on those shrooms myself quite a while ago and they are were potent. I think I find myself in deadend - will need to try them myself to make sure they're ok. All three guys who took them and had no effect we from Poland. probably it's just Polish thing hehe

Were they actually sealed off from the desiccant? If so, the humidity in the bag may have led to a few problems. Art Van D'lay wrote:Smoalk. It. And. See.

the bag was not perfectly sealed, if i squeeze the bag a tiny bit of air is moving out, so it's not 100% sealed. but i'm quite familiar with dried shrooms [psychoactive and gourmet] so if there would be any problems with humidity, i would notice the difference. plus, they cracker dry, so there's no humidity problem.
