This is the one I use for myself

It's regular wool (I think it's not merino) mixed with alpaca wool (the brown stuff) and hemp fibers for some interesting surface texture (the curly stuff). The wire thing is needle-felted on top of the felt cover. wet-felted. Book is bound with glue, not sewn, so it's not as durable as the ones I'm making now.

Such sweet work!! I really love looking at everyones different styles - they are more interesting than the work itself. Its like how people are trying to go about solving the problem in different ways.
Thought I'd throw up a few as well for novelties sake!

This is so art! It reminds me of future generations finding the journal/book and trying to debunk the information on the cover and inside pages.

Since you "wrote" on the front page DMT extraction.. Then, you should write a DMT extraction teq inside! Maybe a natural extraction or something.. Maybe a fantasy. Either way it is cool! Thanks for sharing.

Don't sell yourself short, that is definitely art, and very well done at that.

Dang olympus! Makes me wish you still lived in the PNW. If I ever got a tattoo, I'd go to you! I really dig your designs. That last one is really cool, such depth from sheer geometry!

This is the most recent piece of artwork that I have drawn. Been lazy and preoccupied with music, especially bamboo flutes. It's hardly Hyper-spacial... but I wanted to share with you all, my psychonuatical fellows, who I respect more than I can ever say. Thumbs up

I have always found the idea, and the act, of turning breath into vibration to be quite psychedelic. Love flutes, horns, reeds and woodwinds. Plus that image is just plain fun!

Another nice one Pup. Smile

Dang Pup Tentacle! Your art is so clean and smooth. I really like this last one. Very cool man!

Here's a charcoal drawing (the original was posted a few pages back) I messed with a little with my new wacom tablet. I didn't want to get too crazy, so the colors are pretty mellow, and I have a ways to go with digital work. This is a long way from my first tries with the digital stuff! I definitely see the potential in working with computers to make art.

That's fantastic- doesn't look digital at all. Looks like you're off to a great start with that tablet...

Pup, I like how you made that sense of rotation with the layers of circles. You certainly have a distinct graphic approach.

Nice!

One of the biggest advantages, IMO, is the ability to save off multiple versions, use different layers to try different effects, and take chances on a layer or copy of an image and undo or delete the change if you don't like it. I also very often take an element of one image and use it as an element or starting point of another.

In physical media if you screw up something you have to accept it or work it into the end result, no Ctrl-Z with oil paints. Stop The main thing missing is the physical touch of a brush, chalk, etc. on the media but a good tablet can go a long way towards giving you that feedback.

Also, with pixels you don't have to breath in any solvents. Thumbs up

I think you'll like working with the computer more and more as you get comfortable with all it can do.

It took me a few years before I learned to think of it in its own terms instead of just working with it the way I did paints and such, but in many ways it is now my favorite medium.

Wow, such amazing art! Here is some acid inspired art from one occassion. Its kind of hard to tell pinks from orange for some reason after digitization Confused

In Photoshop sometimes you can clean that up by messing with the Levels control, or else with Color Balance.

Very nice cash, I can almost hear the glyph spinning and going BZZZZZZZZZT like a carrier wave (mine are usually correlated to motion speed).
