Hey guys, in a few weeks i will be getting my first tab of lsd and I am actually asking for advice on how emotional expression goes on the stuff? In the past on weed, i would never express what was going on so it turned into bad times. You could say i let my logical side flow but i resisted my feelings. This was a long time ago when i was young, totally different place in my life.

I am asking how does emotions tend to gel with lsd? Incase something like that arose again where i resisted myself, is there a point i need to resist certain things in front of others(singing, dancing, running, activities etc) or should i feel safe and ok to embrace every part of the craziness?

It is also possible i could drop an X midway during the trip but will see on that one into how the trip ventures off.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

It's hard to say how LSD will effect your emotional expression, as it depends a lot on your set, setting and intent for the voyage. LSD is a pretty strong head trip, probably more so than weed for most people. The best thing to do would be to choose a comfortable environment, and surround yourself with people that you feel safe with, people you can allow yourself the freedom to express around. Resisting a trip isn't a recipe for a fun time.

I find with LSD, I like to drop in a fairly calm setting, and spend the first six hours or so in that setting. If my environment is chaotic, or if I shift settings too much during the come-up and peak, it can be disorienting, but if I settle in nicely to one environment then the whole trip is usually pleasant. Once the peak of the experience is over, I feel more comfortable to explore other settings.

Lots of people love combining X with acid, but you never really know how you will react. Sometimes it has been a great time, other times it has thrown me for a loop. If you are already feeling really good on your acid trip, adding another substance to the mix won't necessarily make things better. Keep in mind the duration of LSD - drop an X too early, and you will be coming down from that while still tripping.

well if your at all worried about that sort of thing, and haven't yet tripped around those who aren't supposed to know...then it'd be a good idea to first try lsd in the presence of a minimal amount of well trusted friends, and in a safe place where you don't have to worry about that... to see how it affects you first

and i would NOT smoke weed before or on the lsd if it has affected you like that in the past and your not a frequent toker... i actually can get way more paranoid after a joint then i do on a high dose of lsd...combining them is incredibly risky for me however on the comedown it can be very nice. Its best to just avoid it at first unless your one of those people who smokes all the time and is lucky enough to not be prone to its anxiety-inducing effects

if by "x" you mean mdma, then yea mdma and lsd is a lovely combination...although realize 'ecstacy' doesn't necessarily = mdma, it can be all sorts of nasty things

If this is your first time with LSD, I don't know if I would personally recommend trying the MDMA combo. It can get quite intense. I concur with universecannon on smoking weed though. It can really escalate things and with a bad history coupled with a low tolerance, it could get rough. Personally for myself, I usually have to "hide" the weed from myself or else I'll smoke copious amounts throughout the day

yea i should have added that i really dont have much experience with this combination, just once. i was more going off what friends have said. but your right i would definitely recommend to just try the lsd on its own first before adding in the mdma

Thats the thing, you could say these guys don't share the same values or goals when using psychedelics as i do.. but they are certainly trustable enough since i have known them half my life. I'm not doing it alone for the first time and i'm just really eager to jump in now.

I'm more or less just preparing if that fear of emotion does pop up. I doubt it will but if for some reason that fear sparked, i can then recall on something to just trust myself. Ironically i just finished listening to the Terrence Mckenna Eros and The Eschaton talk, how the psychedelic returns us that inner world of feeling and how culture suppresses it. Was good to hear.

I'm definitely not doing pot lol. I probably could smoke all fine and dandy now but it would be totally pointless either way as i never saw much benefit from it. Yeah i meant Ecstacy.I think as a back up it could come in handy, the experience has always been insanely positive. I'm definitely not mixing anything until i feel lsd as it is, it wouldn't be till mid way or end of trip if i felt it was absolutely needed or i wanted to climb 'higher'. Thanks for the dropping to early note. I take them incredibly rarely so i figured for the next shot, it would be interesting during an lsd trip.

Lsd makes you very emotional. It can make you cry of joy or laugh from fear, but there is usually contradictory emotions and mood swings that occur.
We are surprisingly similar.

I wouldnt drop any X for the first time. Candy flipping is over-rated IMO; it really takes away from the spirit of the L and reduces it to a body buzz. Be as crazy as you like, so long as you aren't bothering anyone (noise levels, doing things other people might find annoying) or doing anything suspicious in front of a police officer. Emotionally, it's a bit more intense than weed and mushrooms. I would only take one dose (even if you don't feel it, don't redose that day) and stay away from cannabis (L and Weed can be an awesome combo, but only if you can handle weed very well). If you drink, a few beers can really take the edge off if it gets a bit too intense. I rarely drop without a backup 40oz or 6 pack. I usually don't need it, but like a benzo, it can be a lifesaver. Other than that, have fun, and be sure to post a trip report here!

Thanks guys, well i won't be doing any X for a first time as it would be somewhat careless. I'm just giving the psychedelic its time. And i'm willing to wait a little longer, i'm taking importance to setting rather then immediate excitement. Certain places and people i've very briefly met in such a short period of time have kind of paved a path to say "it ain't taking place back there".I don't know where or who but it will be done. It has been said lots here that DMT finds you..well its unbelivably true! Impossible events.. its not my pursuit yet but its led me to appropiate use of psychedelics for now.

I will take that beer to account! I've beaten my fear of weed(which won't manifest any undesirables, thanks to some passionflower) and have no desire for it. Mushroom season is soon, so whether its that or lsd, will be sure to post up a report. Smile

Nobody can really prepare you for the experience, but rest assured it is extremely enjoyable if you're mind is in the right place going in to it. Like all intense spiritual/psychedelic experiences, it can be overwhelming in every way possible, including emotionally.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

LSD was always so deep for me I preferred to take it by myself. I never really enjoyed being around other people until the comedown. Bt mushrooms, now that's a group setting psychedelic IMO. Probably going to get flak for saying this, but if you have a safe set and setting, meaning no chance of anyone showing up or any authoritive figure showing up, room to go outside and inside, music, a comfortable place to lay down and melt into the cosmos, I would honestly say do it alone. But, that's from my experience, I've never tried to harm myself on or off drugs.
“The most compelling insight of that day was that this awesome recall had been brought about by a fraction of a gram of a white solid, but that in no way whatsoever could it be argued that these memories had been contained within the white solid. Everything I had recognized came from the depths of my memory and my psyche. I understood that our entire universe is contained in the mind and the spirit. We may choose not to find access to it, we may even deny its existence, but it is indeed there inside us, and there are chemicals that can catalyze its availability.”

Here's a personal story of LSD and emotions... I was at a rainbow gathering on the morning of the 4th of July at main meadow where everyone was circled up and holding hands in silence and then Om'ing. As I held the hands of the people on each side of me, and we were all Om'ing at different pitches and frequencies, it was so amazing and beautiful I just cried and started hugging people around me I didn't even know. It was a very powerful situation. I can almost relive it thinking about it.... so magical.

Don't try to hide your emotions, tripping or not. It just makes things worse. Trip with people you feel comfortable with to be yourself. Dancing is a fun way to express and bathe in the joy music can make you feel and it can feel absolutely amazing and fluid on LSD

I find you there, your arms surround me, your spirit fills me and it grounds me.
I look to you, Lady of Truth, most ancient One, yet eternal youth,to keep me safe, protect my heart, and with the wisdom you impart, fill up my empty mind and soul,so that, my Lover, you can make whole, all that was broken in this day –and that is what I ask and pray.

You are going to love it! LSD has such a beautiful and happy feeling to it(in all of my experiences, anyway.) I feel great emotions on LSD, love for life and the universe, and great inter-connectedness. There is a definite energy that flows through you when it takes effect. Dancing, running, and singing would certainly feel great! I usually feel like my body is full of energy and I would be ready to run a hilarious marathon Big grin Try to let it flow and not hold back, especially if you are with good people and in a comfortable setting such as your living room or elsewhere where you will not be disturbed! I think music is a must, it just sounds so amazing! I am really going to agree with The Electric Hippy in the sense that beer is a great thing to have around, tastes great and goes down like water, and can calm you down if things get "out-there".
I personally don't recommend using 'x' at all, and you are most likely going to find that the euphoria from LSD feels much more natural and perfect. You probably wont need anything else at all! Although smoking marijuana is great while tripping! Ive even had a nitrous balloon or two while in the peak with amazing results Smile The energy from LSD is so immaculate, the body high feels great and isn't taxing at all. I had a handful of great trips last summer riding my bike around town for hours, it was perfect! Good luck in your experience, LSD will treat you well!

Try out the song Lady in Black by Uriah Heep, that will get the good energy flowing!

Cheers and best of luck to you and Lucy Cool
