I've been trying to figure out what type of rig would best suit my better-half. She has somewhat-bad-asthma that inhibits her from taking big tokes. I think I've (possibly!) solved the problem.

After reading a mention that water bongs work well I had decided to clean up one of my favorite pieces and dedicate it solely to the spice.

I have used a metallic ring screen from an Atmos Raw vaporizer pen wrapped in a regular pipe screen.



Works like a charm!

Does she have troubles with inhaling vapour from the GVG?

Haven't had a chance to try one yet! Will definitely consider it. The price tag is a little daunting though! I have a friend that is a glass-blower here in town. I think I'm going to try and get him to make me a custom glass spice vaporizer.

Oddly enough, the problem is still unsolved...

She has increased dosage. Changed devices. Held it in longer. Taken more hits. Ensured proper vaporization technique...

Still nothing. Any thoughts? I suppose we could go out any purchase a GVG, but I'm skeptical as to whether or not this will make that much of a difference.

One question; water or no water? A friend was telling me (with conviction) that the water would nullify any psychoactive contents in the vapor. This seems ridiculous to me.

Almost! Although it has a glass-on-glass seal to fit into my bong.

^ that set up is pointless for smoking DMT.

those style pipes don't work well. That method of heating is called conduction

molten DMT, doesn't behave like some other compounds you might have liquefied.
once molten, it attempts to counteract its heat transfer by moving to colder regions on the glass, across a gradient.

Hence, smoking DMT this method is possible, but its just inefficient.

Convection heating is the superior way to smoke DMT.

You'll want the DMT to have high surface area. and you will want a heat sink. (A good example of this is GVG)

Looks like the OP is off to the right start, add a heat sink for the torch, and i don't think you could beat that pipe

I have only ever previously attempted with Canna extracts. Vaporizing DMT is so much different! It is much more difficult.

Check this out. With good smoking technique, and a glass bong, you (she) should be able to breakthrough no problem WITHOUT the crack-pipe part. I lost the puller for my bong and was went out and bought one of those pipes. (that was fun, most stores in my area dont sell them because meth is rampant here and noone like tweakers, and with the code speak required in head shops, I couldnt tell the guy what I was doing. Add the fact that I am missing a tooth to the mix and I may as well change my name to Randy. God I wanted to yell- Im smoking DMT, not meth!) Yeah, the induction method as above poster said, sucks. Not to mention holding searing hot glass aint too cool either.

Sooo what I did was stuff a bunch of chore boy (steel mesh) into the bong stem, no bowl. Then some ashes from a cigarettes, without tamping down, make sure you can pull air through easily. Then a pellet of spice, then another wad of chore boy. The mesh and ash on bottom soaks up the molten spice, making it harder for it to go away, and the mesh on top kinda stops the flame from hitting it directly. I used the bong waterless, so I can hold it horizontal, that way the molten DMT stays in the "bowl"area. I dont have a carb hole on this bong, but just removing the flame and sucking up the tube works well. And if you put enough in, you can hit it til you cant, removing the flame stops the vaping,so hit, hold in, exhale, repeat til gone. Have someone to gently take the tube from you or a pillow to drop the bong on. Seriously, its so easy Im not sure why folks have such a hard time. Good luck, fellow journeyer.

Have you considered making changa or enhanced leaf with mullein and smoking that from a bong? Mullein is apparently very soothing to the airways so perhaps it's helpful.

Bought a GVG; I'm thoroughly convinced that it's the best way to vape spice... however, she is still yet to derive any effects from it.

ALTHOUGH, MDMA seems to act as a bronchodilator and enabled her to take larger hits from a bong. After putting the spice between Cannabis she was able to derive effects.
