OK so now I've been taking a small handful/pinch (perhaps 5g tops) and brewing it as normal tea with one slice of lemon, about 500ml water each time straight from the kettle. No additional heat, just what it gets from the kettle soon as that hits full boil; it stays too hot to drink for a good 5-10 minutes. Drink that then rebrew x 3 for a total of 4 cups of tea from 5g of vine.

I feel the effects & it's brilliant, ironically it's got much more of a punch to it than when I dosed 80g in one go. Funny how that works, eh. I'm not tasting the tannins very much if at all though, and there is zero sediment.

Am I doing it right? If normally it's boiled 3x3hr then really how good is brewing at mean temp ~70-80*C for 10 min x 4 going to work? By the time I finish the 4th brew, what % of alkaloids would be extracted? Please just give a ballpark estimate.

Also do you think it would be a wise idea to drink 3g of caapi vine just straight up blended in lemon/vinegar water? No filtration, I mean to literally smoothie it and drink? Would the tannins mess with my stomach? Could the ingestion of whole vine have a healing effect? Same question for leaves. I'm just looking for the easiest microdose method which also gets maximal alkaloids and preferably other things such as phytonutrients.

why not just brew up a few hundred grams of vine, reduce (as much as you prefer really, for the taste), and then just store it in the fridge and drink the amount you want each day

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Yeah I am considering doing that to the point where I can take a dropperful out of a bottle each time and go about my day.

Right now I do not have the time, resources & caapi brewing experience to do a proper brew of several hundred grams of vine at once. When I get acquainted with the ins & outs of brewing that's the next logical step in progression but that's a little way away.

Just an update...

I did a month long cycle of caapi brewing. Only ingested a little caapi each day - like 10-20g max I'd say.

Well, by the end of it? It seems I was fully MAO inhibited and then some. Does harmala build up in your system with sustained intake? It certainly seems so! The slightest blast of some freebase rue extract and I got annhilated, absolutely annhilated.

I cycled off the tea for a few days. Went for round 2 with the harmala FB vapor... and it did not have nearly the same effect. I am amazed. Letting the caapi build up in your system over a few days or weeks makes life very vibrant, very psychedelic and ecstatically blissful. Harmala potentiates itself Laughing!

I guess I'll bite the bullet and brew up a huge concoction. In the past I have felt that the alkaloids seem to sink to the bottom which is partially why I am hesitant. I would have to give the bottle a good shake each time I guess. And it has always been my experience that the foulest tannin-rich brews have always packed the highest punch; if a brew doesn't make me gag and run for the hills I feel cause for concern and often it turns out to be a dud.

Still have yet to recieve an answer to this - If normally it's boiled 3x3hr then really how good is brewing at mean temp ~70-80*C for 10 min x 4 going to work? By the time I finish the 4th brew, what % of alkaloids would be extracted? Please just give a ballpark estimate.

My diet is religiously adhered, and by religious I mean literally religiously. I pull out no stops when it comes to reaching Samadhi and I am rewarded with the grace of easily entering it when necessary as a direct result.

It's basically ayahuasca dieta in general. I find that the foods for dieta are basically great just for daily living, they are allergy free and synergistic with the body and spiritual exploration. Consequently I am not really ever out of dieta. I do eat lots of meat and fish though.

I don't drink sodas, I don't eat processed foods except sparingly. Primary staples: chlorella, spirulina, wheatgrass, barleygrass, spinach, broccoli, rice, kale; protein from mackarel, eggs, salmon, minced beef/lamb, fats from coconut oil, olive oil, peanut butter.

All of these things are extremely conducive to keeping the energy balanced in the body I find; with the meat and fish you must find a good source where it has been treated with reverence and diligence; halal/kosher meat is good. In such cases, there is little to worry about as regards your karmic imprint.

I think caapi leaf would be nicer than the vine. I could imagine eating a heaping bowl of raw caapi and spinach and broccoli with some mackarel every day.

Dreams are on a whole another level these days; I've noticed that the microcosmic orbit has opened up nicely. The other day I woke up in deep sleep (if you understand what I mean) and I noticed the microcosmic orbit was surging with power, a huge rush surging up and back down, over and over again. That sleep was good, let's just say that! This is definitely caapi-related.
