Hello all,

New here and on my way to hopefully soon try my first ACRB tek, but have a quick question in the meantime..

Has anyone here done a successful recipe of Green Dragon. That is extracting THC using alcohol (everclear)?? I've got a lot of stems and leaves that are just sitting here doing nothing.Thumbs up

I've read a few different methods and was just wondering if anyone's got a fav??

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

It's pretty hard to screw up, I have always just eyeballed everything including timing and it's been greatly successful. Just throw your ground material in everclear and simmer gently for ~half an hour or so. The alcohol should turn a really nice emerald green by the time it's done. Be careful about the alcohol fumes, it's flammable shit, I don't know what your kitchen is set up like. I'd really recommend NOT using anything but everclear; Bacardi 151 proof rum for example makes an even more foul, burning beverage (even though it's lower proof), and green dragon is a pretty foul substance as it is with everclear. Shots are a little too gross for most people, so mixing it into something like juice works for them, though it still has a pretty strange (awful maybe) taste/aftertaste. Some people on the internet reduce the volume and eye-dropper an amount under the tongue, but I can't tell you much about that. Expect weed farts Smile.

Doing it with leaves and stems may leave you a little unsure of the proper dosage, so you may have to do some range finding with it. I've usually found it takes quite a while to come on (as you'd expect from edibles) and lasts far longer than smoking methods, with a much greater "body high". Great for chilling around with good people

If you've got slightly more time and patience (and baking skills, or a baking friend) I think baked edibles are the way to go over this, but it can be fun

Thanks for the response, also if a mod needs to move this to another section, I apologize.

Any thoughts on "prebaking" the material before putting it in the alcohol soak/simmer?

I've heard of people doing that to activate the THC, however no evidence to back it up...

A bud of mine did the dry method, he left it in a cold dry place for 4 weeks and it would sit your ass down once it kicked in....

I think there is enough heat added in the process without prebaking to decarboxylate the THC-acid

Yeah I am wondering if doing it without any heat would do anything?

This is how my friend did it and it was quite potent, I just want to make sure I dont waste the stuff, even though it was free Thumbs up
