SWIM knows what they mean now when they say you need a heavy duty blender!!!!

SWIM Broke one pair of secateurs already!

my trusty Russel Hobbs smashs mhrb every time and it was pretty cheap. I found that the important bit in blender choice is having an open space below the blade. I went through a couple blenders with a very small space below the blade before i found my tusty RH blender.

Ah!

SWIM has two blenders, 1 is a really nice glass blender with space as you described but SWIM does not want to break it, SWIMs better half will linch SWIM if SWIM breaks it.

the other one just isn't up to the job !

maybe a trip to the hardware store is in order ...
