A great many of us are over 40. Why would you think it would be a problem?

sure, many members here over 40 that vape dmt. if said person is healthy with no blood pressure or heart problems, then their should be no problem.

Hi there

the only health issues I know of when smoking dmt is a rise in blood pressure.

If you suffer from high blood pressure then it could pose a risk. if you do not then you should be fine!

if you are now or have ever been schizophrenic or psychotic, then I suppose a bad or really intense experience could trigger a latent condition and bring it to the surface.

I am 39 and I have smoked it a few times (not breakthrough) and have had no problems. I used to have amphetamine psychosis and I haven't noticed any of those symptoms since I have been taking the spice.

If your blood pressure is ok and your general health is good, I think you are good to go, but by all means, do more research yourself.

Peace

I'm 43 and I smoke DMT with no ill effects and have a friend who's 60+ considering trying it.

I don't know that DMT specifically raises one's BP. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but a rise in BP while experiencing DMT derives more from how your psyche is processing and reacting to the experience.

If you have a dodgy ticker...just beware...the sudden increase in heart rate can be a concern to aging ventricles...
I'm 46 and very careful.

You are right, it is probably a reaction by the user that causes blood pressure to rise.

I believe this is the case with most people who are not experienced with spice, especially at breakthrough doses.

However small the rise in BP is, if high blood pressure is an issue the OP suffers from then it is worth considering this issue when smoking for the first time.

Hi CYB

I would be interested to know, have you noticed palpitations or any other heart issues when you smoke?

Oh absolutely... safety first! This is the same hurdle my buddy has. He has high BP and is concerned the intensity may be too much.

Peace backatcha! Smile

Im not saying it would be a problem..but the blood pressure of someone in their teens 20s...is diferent than someone over 40 ..atleast in its way to rebound to a normal pressure when stressed..
I guess the concern is about the sudden come up..[pressure change].. of DMT and some reports of pounding heart rate...[which may only be from fear of new experiance?]??
How long does this pounding heart rate last on the come up?

Or is this not experianced by everyone comming up on DMT?
I personally dont experiance this on salvia come ups at all...

HAHA what did I just do! ... I know that feeling!

I have been informed that thinning the blood somewhat is great for the heart, it easier for the heart to pump a less viscus fluid, garlic, aspirin all good for blood thinning, I thought I would just mention this just in case you where unaware, but I am sure you know this already

Yeah, I didn't mean to diminish it. The comments on heart and BP health are certainly important. I exercise and can out cycle a lot of people half my age, so I don't consider it a problem.

The initial body tingle weirds me out, after that's gone it's all good.

whats ironic is once you breakthrough you realize how silly the question "is dmt safe for my health" is..

It is a completely valid question;; but man does your whole view on life and death change after a real breakthrough
