i started this post a few hours ago and never finished. what i had written is below

my english teacher would have me reading 1984 right now. but im content reading trip reports on erowid aloud to an imaginary audience. ive recently become a believer in (not) all things spiritual without leaving the comfort of my chair. its crazy how far a bit of research skills can take you if you have a curious mind.
well over the last week with the help of my only friend, google, ive found what i believe to be truths, hidden in the depths of the world wide web. having never experienced any classic psychedelics myself, this essay aims to state my current understanding of, well, everything related.
im a long time lurker in all kinds of forums. never really posted. participated.

now that was typed a few hours ago. rereading it was very very scatterbrained, sorry for that. since then ive ordered reading material like pihkal and an invisible landscape. ive decided to pursue a career in pharmacology. im also hoping to become an active participant in a forum, any forum. i specifically like this one mainly because so many of the questions i google lead me to this very website and i notice the same recurring users answering the questions. you guys probably know, but this forums admin, elders, all that, their posts are through the roof! so many dedicated users. anyways. im going to stop rambling now. peace and good vibes

Oops, I read the essay...

Anyways, welcome to the forum. I would be careful about believing ALL things spiritual. You should be careful about believing anything, for that matter, especially if you're thinking of dipping your toes into the psychedelic whirlpool. I don't mean to say that no truths come from psychedelics in particular, but rather that if there's one thing that psychedelics have taught me, it is that the nature of truth is a tricky substance.

I never finished 1984, but resources like this weren't available back then for busy people like me.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

ok, I won't, I'm kind of lazy anyway. I don't even read long elaborate trip reports.

I hate to ask, but what is your age?

In the US 1984 is generally required reading in HS. Hopefully you understand we cannot allow anyone under 18 on the site.

Welcome to the DMT-Nexus.

PS, read [or listen to] the book. It's good and more applicable now than ever.

1984 is a good read

"ive found what i believe to be truths"

be wary of this sort of thinking ^...especially when it comes to the kinds of topics usually swirling around within the minds of those on a site like this

welcome,

did you know that George Orwell thought the English govt was stalking him, and inspired him write the book.

after he died England secret service admitted to recording every detail down to his outfit for his entire life. People ask if 1984 will ever come true, it already did, LAST CENTURY.
