How, if at all, has the DMT experience changed or confirmed your view of reality?

I suggest a look at the following thread:

The Improbability of Hyperspace

Also, what's your opinion on the matter? Threads are much more interesting if the OP puts forward an idea of his own.

Here is a metaphysical experience I've had that confirms my belief to some extent in the existence of chakras. I quote myself from another thread *and it's important to note that this only confirms my belief in the existence of chakras, and not in the metaphysical properties of crystals, as I have since been able to replicate the effect with any solid object I can get my hands on, be it a crystal or a television remote controller.

When I take DMT, there is a large energy component to it (it seems to be a component on which the entire experience is derived), and through some practice and meditation, I've learned to harness the energy to some extent while sober. It's a very physical feeling thing. It has a force to it that moves my limbs autonomously upon contact. Through much experimentation I've found that this energy is directly connected with attention as well as breath. One day while I was studying one of my crystals, holding it up close to my face so I could examine it, my arm began oscillating forcefully back and forth as if the crystal had a magnetic attraction/repulsion with my face.

So of course I come to theorize that perhaps it was interacting with my third eye chakra, so I decide to hold up the crystal to other parts of my body to see if I can elicit the same energetic effect. It doesn't really do anything when I place it just anywhere, but when I put it in front of my throat, I got a very large effect, as well as with the solar plexus and sacral chakra. The only chakra it really didn't seem to want to work with was my heart chakra. When I placed it in front of that chakra, nothing happened. There was absolutely no energetic activity like it was a dead spot. I tried different crystals...nothing. As I sat and thought about chakras and what I had heard about them, I recalled that the chakras were all associated with different glands and organs.

So "there it was" I thought. If the chakras are aligned with the different organs and not perfectly straight down the spine, then the heart chakra would be offset to the left. So I took my crystal, held it in the center of my chest: nothing happens. I hold it on the right side of my chest: nothing happens. I hold it on the left side of my chest: eureka! It was like turning on a battery. My arm began forcefully oscillating back and forth. It is because of this experience that I believe in chakras. I feel I can say that it goes beyond subconscious auto-suggestion or something of the sort because according to my prior beliefs, as far as I knew all the chakras went straight down the spine (as it is so often depicted) and so by that logic, my arm would have been oscillating where I had initially believed my heart chakra to be, but that just wasn't the case at all. I think several days had elapsed even before I made the connection with the offset organ.

I went in with a lot of questions. I wanted to believe that this molecule had the power to give me answers but with the randomness of the experiences I was not sure if this was capable of producing answers. Just more questions. And while I have many more questions to a near sickening degree after my first and possibly last breakthrough, all of my questions were answered. I am still reeling from it nearly a month later. Learning and growing. My life is changing all around me but I had already known that my life was going to be changing.

Before my breakthrough I was lucid dreaming and I had a dream that I was in a doctors office, staring at a sexy nurse and then this guy came into the room and proclaimed that I must pack my bags on the twenty third. And the room erupted into applause. Now, I am moving back to my hometown. Not sure if I found out on the twenty third or not but it was somewhere in there. My point being that spice opened a lot of doors in my everyday life. Astral Projection, Meditating, singing, lucid dreaming and a general feeling of grand love for life and everything. It sort of shattered my entire prior existence and the light energy is flowing over everything in my life now. I love it and it is a terrifying and amazing experience going one on one with this thing and then to nothing and into one. One could just never have believed it were possible. This thing, whatever it is, it is miraculous.

I believe that my current mindset is rather similar to the mindset I had as a child. I believe that once my social indoctrination began to set in, that I forgot a lot about how my experience really is. I don't regret developing a more scientific thought process, but I do regret how closed-minded it made me.

Once I tried DMT, it was as if every held notion of the universe shattered. I remembered that the world I perceive is just the dream of a reality, the people I know are just projections of others in my mind. I am the consciousness of the universe, and so is everything else. This opportunity to look at myself from the outside is ineffably valuable to me, and it blows my mind how simple it is to achieve this mindset. I do not see how I could have reached these conclusions without entheogens.

This sounds like the Wachowski Brothers view of the Matrix...

It is sort like the Matrix except not at all. I definitely think they got their inspiration from DMT, unless mescaline can actually get you in and out of places like this. Down tunnels, with robotic voices, and Matrix style places of pure light, ones and zeros, of feeling rapidly disconnected. There is one drug reference in the Matrix and it is mescaline. I have done mescaline and it was nothing like this. I think the Wachowski brothers made a good call by keeping the secret a secret.
