The MJ that is available around here is so good anymore that sometimes I have a hard time handling it just by itself. Especially the strong sativa's. I can't tell you how many times i sampled an unidentified, delicious looking bud, only to end up with the racing heart beating out of my chest and extreme discomfort for 30 mins to an hour.

I love the strong indicas though. Never had a problem with these. And even some of the hybrids aren't too bad if the sativa effects aren't super strong.

But i generally agree with the not liking dmt/mj together. I didn't make a mj changa once, and it was interesting. But i really don't like coming down from that state and being stoned. And i have such a low tolerance to mj anymore that 2 rips and i'm good.

This is coming from an all day/every day user for atleast 10-12 years. I'll skip the details but lets just say it was a great loss. I ended up quitting for 3 months after that, ended up feeling like i was going to have a mental break down or something, and eventually started integrating it back in very slowly and very mildly into my life.

These days i might procure only 1/8 every couple months. But of course I have friends that partake, so i'll occasionally enjoy a nice stoning with them.

Anyways i guess what i'm trying to say is that it has mostly lost its appeal to me anymore. Not totally, i still love and appreciate it, but i just can't physically handle it with the low tolerance i've ended up with. And i can't really afford to make the same mistakes as before, or actually purchase it regularly.

I agree with you. I used to be an opioid addict and needed 0.5g of kush a day to get over post acute withdrawal PAWS when I finally got off Suboxone. Once the PAWS were gone I quit weed, then I had weed withdrawal..life was more boring for 10 days. Once you get over that, you really appreciate sobriety and health. Weed should be used as often as DMT in my opinion, and I don't like combining them. The best time to smoke DMT is when you sober, healthy, and in good spirits, then the trip is good. Combining DMT and other drugs, especially too much alcohol gets you waking dream hallucinations, where you can't tell if your alive, awake, dead, or still dreaming.

Weed never went well with me during shroom trips or DMT tips. When I was younger I could handle shrooms and weed together but weed still made the trip seem so much more awkward and strange. More introverted. Shrooms and DMT alone is honestly the way to go. Or those two together is really interesting. Salvia and DMT is a very good mix tho which I find very strange.

I have never messed with weed and DMT. With weed, I call myself a one hit wonder. I used to be a total stoner a long time ago smoked everyday for years. Nowadays, I get a hit and I am floored.

One hit and I am kaput. After a breakthrough a couple of weeks ago I smoked some pot a couple of days afterwards.

Does this happen to any of you if you smoke MJ a couple of days after a breakthrough? I felt like I was almost in mandala world. It was intense but fantastic, could hardly sleep had so much energy!

I usually have a great time smoking weed on the come up of mushies but I think weed helped the most with mescaline. DMT is the whole beast. Better to be clean. Maybe pound a shot of whiskey before you take off to take one of those millions of edges off.

Amen to that - the combination is amazing, to me. Granted, there's a time and a place for each substance to stand on their own, but the synergy is amazing. For me, cannabis has always been useful for adding an interesting dimension to LSD, DMT, etc. A waning acid trip can be boosted with a few good tokes.

I do not like mixing psychedelics with weed. When I'm on psychedelics my thoughts go at lightning speed and I like it that way. Smoking weed while tripping causes my thoughts to slow down and makes me feel incapable and disoriented. Paranoia will strike faster too.
On the comedown however, some weed will extend the trip, boost the visuals and makes me feel very comfortable.

For me, it depends on the cannabis - sativa strains do anything but make my thoughts slow down. It also seems to depend on the person. These things are rarely as simple as we'd like them to be. Smile

Yeah good point, strain definitely matters.
Indica generally makes me slow, which I don't like while tripping.
Sativa doesn't make me slow, but makes me chaotic and can make me paranoia.

I used to be a big sativa fan but these days I like indica better. The extra CBD is anti-psychotic and mellows me out, a lot more than sativa does.

But indeed effects differ from person to person which makes things quite complicated.

The only thing I like to mix with DMT is harmalas. Everything else ruins the trip for me in different ways.

I dont like the combination of weed and dmt. I feel like dmt is everything in high definition-whether a lower or breakthrough dose, everything is crystal clear, and sharp, but weed makes it foggy. Weed also tends to make me have negative or paranoid thoughts, which I can handle when Im just on weed, but adding that to a dmt trip is too much for me.

for me it is prefered to mix dmt and weed, but i smoke weed every day. i have met a few people that wanted to try dmt that didnt want to mix it with weed because they worried about being too stoned or paranoid or whatnot, so they used pipe tobacco and enjoyed it. if they werent regular tobacco smokers im sure that wouldnt have been so good tho.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that being a factor - at the time I enjoyed both, I was smoking pot daily, all day long. So, it probably didn't affect me like it would if I were to do it today, after 8 months of being completely cannabis-free... I'm sure it would blast me off into a really strange land...

If you smoke weed every day then of course you're going to want to be stoned while blasting off. That's going to be your norm. When I used to smoke weed every day I would feel kind of shit when not stoned. Had to be stoned all the time. And then when I tried to quit weed for some time I got very ill tempered after few days of no smoking.
Happy to be free from it.

Exactly. I enjoy mixing weed with psychedelics, but THC is my norm, my comfort zone. Cannabis can be very serious stuff, though, so for someone who is less experienced with it, I definitely would not recommend smoking while tripping. That's just asking for discomfort.

I find that the biggest drawback to being stoned while smoking DMT is the short term memory loss. Definitely a little harder to clearly recall the trip- not that it's ever easy. The payoff, for me, is less anxiety at takeoff and a more relaxed state in general. On LSD, I find that weed loosens my abdominal clench and deepens my introspection. I'm a guy that goes to happy places when I'm stoned. If I weren't, I wouldn't combine weed with psychedelics. Hell, I wouldn't smoke the stuff at all. Everybody is different.

I have had interesting results with that DMJ method on a handful of occasions. Especially nice for outdoors. But there's nothing like vaping, for real.

I find that a bit of caapi leaf mixed with weed makes a more enjoyable smoke. For me it seems to eliminate any paranoia.

I also find the alkaloids from the caapi (if ingested prior to blastoff) give the DMT more intense and longer lasting effect.

Straight weed without caapi leaf before blastoff isn't one of my favourite combinations though.

Now that I think about it. The very first time I did DMT I had been smoking weed frequently so maybe that's why putting it on MJ was fine that time, but not 2 weeks later since I had stopped w/ the weed and just been doing a DMT/NMT black peppermint tea smoking mix before bed instead.

Good post and sounds like a hell of a night man haha. Good job on being able to have the mental strength to hold yourself together. That's the trick, its all mental. If you start to think you are fucked, chances are you are probably fucked. Just remember that you took this drug and you wanted these things to happen so be happy with the outcome and always remember you are around friends in a safe place.

I've heard weed dulls the visualizations of DMT but seeing as you were on some L id doubt it would effect it much. But i do question this, does weed dull the visuals? I feel like it depends on the person and their perception about it. I personally love smoking after i blast off but not before, but is that because i have just grow fond of doing such or what? Hmm

I simply LOVE marijuana. Just love it! But I do tend to refrain from smoking a bunch before DMT sessions whether with it be FB or changa or pharma, just because I don't want any interference with my trip. I don't want it dulled or slowed down. I don't jump into the ferrari of psychedelics so I can go 10 mph, haha.

With shrooms it's different, although it becomes a waste after a couple of tokes, I love smoking weed. Just seems to go together for me.

I have a hard time getting a paranoid racey heart thing going with grass, last time (and only time) that happened was from 5 or 6 giant bong rips of some seriously sweet bubble hash. I had to lay down and be still for an hour or so. Highest I've ever been.

If it made me paranoid and uncomfortable though, I'd stop doing it.

I did find this last weekend that AFTER changa smoking, some weed seemed to kick the trip up a notch as it was waning.

I tried a weed dmt weed sandwich in a pipe last week. I havnt smoked weed in 2 years. :s amazing visuals at first.

messed me right up after i came off dmt. paranoia set in. so the only thing i could do was clean up the house. lol made me feel better after that.

i don't recommend it. it made me want to stop doing dmt. but that was just the weed. i cant take THC any more why i stopped smoking it in the first place.

weed is not weed anymore its all super duper STRONG!!!! lol

I've always found DMT to go nicely with cannabis, but I've only ever smoked it on the tail end of a DMT experience. If I made a cannabis changa I'm not so sure it would be pleasant. Smile Strain is definitely a factor here, and tolerance of course. My tolerance is very low to cannabis these days, and I usually consume edibles rather than smoking it. I took one bong hit about two weeks ago and I was so ridiculously stoned. My friends were laughing at how I was talking. It was a strong sativa and it made my thoughts race and I was dancing to music (something I never do) Very happy

Cannabis goes very well with mushrooms for me, however. It's something that I've been doing since I first started taking mushrooms many, many years ago. I would always have to have a bag of weed if I planned on tripping. I take mushrooms alone now, without the cannabis, but that's only when I'm tripping alone. If I'm tripping with friends, cannabis is involved. It's become a social thing again for me, like it was in high school.

I have to agree!!! Some of the strains I've had recently are insanely potent. There's still some balanced strains out there though. I got some during the winter that was like that, very nice to smoke and eat, and my buddy called it "dirt weed". Said it was shitty and he couldn't smoke it because it didn't get him high Very happy I found it very refreshing after all those crazy mutant strains!
