Hi everyone. I'm a brazilian native, live in northeastern Brazil. My involvement in the spirit realms was inspired by the romance Iracema, the honey-lips, which made me wonder what was this "jurema secret" that Iracema was a guardian of. I read the romance and after some sunrises and sunsets, here I am.

Hi Iracema,

So, if it's jurema that brought you here, it would be nice to know a little about these sunrises and sunsets.

Where in the spirit realms did it take you? Was it jurema itself, its essence, or any of her allies?

Please share a little with us, we'll like to read it Smile

And welcome to the Nexus.

Hello iracema,

Welcome to the Nexus.

Yes, like Vodsel, I would love to learn more about you and your experiences with jurema. I have to admit I was not clear from your essay if you were just intrigued or if you have had actual experiences yet . . .

What brings you here? How did you find us?

Anything else you might be willing to share, such as career or education focus, life interests, hobbies, experiences, etc. are always welcome by way of introducing yourself.

I look forward to learning more about you and again, welcome you to the Nexus.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Vodsel and Pandora, thanks for the reception and interest.
I have much to tell, but have limitations to express myself in your language.

My experience is little, but my people Kariri and the others have tradition.
We are few now, and I don't live home since young, went to city for education so I didn't learn about jurema secret until recent.
We are treated as inferiors in our own land and it's so sad our culture is lost as our ancestors go.
My hopes are now revitalized as I see many guardians here, and spreading this wisdom around the world.

So far I know "uni", our name for ayahuasca brew, jurema root and angico seeds (also called yopo).
Jurema and angico are everywhere, even at road sides, but no one knows about it, juremas are cut and burned as charcoal in tiles fabrics.

I had a personal experience that made this two plants even more special to me.
Couple years ago, I was involved in a car accident.
I lost stability on a curve and went strait off road, keeling over on a little cliff area.
It was the road side small angicos that slowed down the car, and it stopped by an old jurema next to the cliff.
Anyone who saw the smashed car wouldn't believe there was survivers, but I had only scratches from jurema thorns and broken glass.
I didn't know about this at the time, for me it was only off road wild trees that was in the right place.

But recently in my first breakthroughs, this came to me hard.
Made sense, as a wild wake-up call and had a serious purpose that now I understand.
I feel like it's part of my life and the reason I'm alive, as it was for the ancient.

I want to thank you all dear nexians, that welcomed and voted for my full membership.
yesterday I had the most intense experience, visited a very special spot for me.
this is the mimosa that saved me, I think its a mimosa verrucosa:

the cliff I was stopped from falling:

most of the plants on this area are mimosas of various sorts.
on the way, walked by this precious finding:

I spent the afternoon at this place, drunk some brew, felt great presence and came back home with a little gift.

Ohhh I completely forgot to reply this wearepeople.
Indeed, wonderful guardians and beautiful cultivations!
I just can't wait for the rains start to fall here, so the mimosas begin flowering and seeding.
I'll share seeds and want to see many more nexian mates posting pictures like those.

Iracema,
Your story is truly inspirational and deeply moving.
I have been a long time lurker, but today I finally created an account. It is amazing to find how the spirit realm communicates in such unorthodox methods. Im thankful everyday I live, and it wasnt always that way. You never know when youre time is up, and i have a newfound respect for that.
I was first shown Jurema a couple of years ago by a dear friend. Since then i have had the privilege of tending a relatively small garden. Ive been shown much in the small amount of time, yet have always been prudent to join the community.
this thread proves that theres good people here! Im happy to join!
