a celebration. Now dance and party. Just a bunch of peaks and troughs but as a whole(holy) it's a full circle.

..."Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence." ~Alan Watts...

“I go to seek a Great Perhaps.”
― François Rabelais

“Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.”
― Joseph Campbell

“There is not one big cosmic meaning for all; there is only the meaning we each give to our life, an individual meaning, an individual plot, like an individual novel, a book for each person.”
― Anaïs Nin

"The meaning of life... is to end"
- Agent Smith, The Matrix

“You are a divine being. You matter, you count. You come from realms of unimaginable power and light, and you will return to those realms.”
― Terence McKenna

“The best things in life make you sweaty.”
― Edgar Allan Poe

This is my idea, I'm not going to call it a belief because beliefs are hard to change. People fight over them and even die for them; but an idea can be changed. Big grin

When a soul chooses to take on a physical life to have an experience and to gain new knowledge, it decides on a life that will learn a certain lesson. When this soul enters physical reality and relinquishes its memory in order to avoid any past lives from influencing the current one and possibly preventing the soul from learning its lesson. I guess it's like removing all bias from an experiment. It is the souls purpose to figure out why its higher self chose this life and to get as much out of the life as possible. The knowledge obtained by that soul will be returned to the source upon the physical body's death. Thus shedding more light on this crazy thing we call life.
We have chosen this life for a reason, and it is our purpose to understand why.

When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced; live your life so that when you pass, the world cries and you rejoice.

Only those who are willing to go too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

speaking of sweating this quote you may like:

"To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self. Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past. Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self healing, whether done in the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge. I do it on the dance floor. The more you dance, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you pray. The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy."

It's a play, you are the main character. Any meaning you want.
"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

to give life meaning. Unfortunately most people don’t do this but in my mind one does this by making the most of his existence through actions/experiences, and doing that is:
finding and being yourself , finding your true path in life and following it all the way. You do this than you follow the path of god, influencing energies which make up the universe in a positive way with love-the most powerful force. Follow the heart not the mind/ego and youll be able to forfil ur destiny as a human and give meaning to this beautiful gift of life Smile

I see no meaning or greater reason to life or reality. I believe any reason that is apparent is purely in the mind of the beholder. I see reality as being purely accidental, a quirk.

I see no single point or purpose. But an expanding plane, consisting of infinite points or meanings. On one axis is time, as we experience more and more we discover reasons that living is wonderful. The other axis is conciousness, each person has their own meaning of life to find and expirience as time unravels.

When I was deeply depressed I always found myself asking, why?! What's the point. Why do I have to live through this lifetime of torture? What will I achieve that is so important that all this suffering is worthwhile? The answer is happiness, and it will come.
We are surprisingly similar.

I like your concepts, having a nihilist understanding of existence can be dark at times, moreso if you are in a state of depression and looking at it in the way you explain somewhat negates some of the darkness.

The meaning of life is to experience an existence as individuals rather than as a whole with no individual properties.

The meaning of life I have found is purely the word "EXPERIENCE". Life is one big story, one big ride, one big mystery, that we all partake in. To experience the world and understand what it is to be human is the simple, yet incredibly complicated truth. Whether it may be leading a simple life, delving into the deepest reaches of reality and the mind, knowledge, adventure, ect.. The meaning of life is to craft your experience to its fullest, whatever that may be for you.

There is not meaning but what you make of it. The asking for the meaning of life is like asking for the shape of water. It has none, of it's own accord. It it when you give it meaning, when you pour the water into your container and give it form, that you find it.

To grow and evolve perhaps… Maybe there is no meaning to life other than the meaning you apply to it. What is life anyway? God only knows...
