there is a mirror in the hallway
that never quite reflects you
instead it is adding to the reflection
and so staring back at you
is something else

you tried to see yourself
but found yourself lost amidst yourself
and yet self was never quite clear
being but a reflection of things
that are themselves mirrors
in their own way

it is a cycle
held by a nail
hanging on the wall
in the hallway of life

you awoke and it was dark
the mirror reflecting a dim image
and you realized only then
that not being able to see this reflection
makes it the clearest
it can ever be

I have been thinking a lot about mirrors lately. I really like this! Very well worded and thought out. It very much resonates with me.
