I've had several sessions in a floatation tank, one on a low dose of LSD, and I can confidently say that it is one of the best environments to be in if you're intention is to break though. Meditation experience really helps too- thoughts, as well as senses can be distracting.

Lol , you'd have to build an electrical vaporizer , you load the substance from the outside and have tubing running into the tank with a button you press from inside for each hit, similar to an electrical vaporizer. Being creative is very important. : )
Of course don't get the wrong idea, the tube will be hanging in the air. where you can easily grab it while laying down and use it.

Especially if you don't have much money (which i don't) , Being creative is essential.

Just a thought : Imagine blowing out of your mouth and into the tank, 50mg of DMT, with scatole as the primary breakdown product.... I am not sure if the smell of poo in such a confined space would be very palatable... or aid in relaxation for that matter Sick

id love to try acid in one sometime for sure, but with a dmt breakthrough, i usualy have no idea were i am on earth anyway, so being in water would only be a danger, not a benefit!

If this is true, i say if, because when your on dmt smelling is of small distraction but anyway ,
you build a mask with one tube that has the intake of substance, and a flashback arrester vavle, meaning no air can go back into the intake tubing (pipe), and another tubing where you blow air out into. With a flash back arrester in the opposite direction where air can only get out of the tank.

Wow you're really thinking things through! Hope you actually build it! Thumbs up

Float tanks are amazing! I had my first experience this week, and I'm already scheduled to go again, only this time ima gettin high. I feel like it could get intense quick if you were on some psychedelics...but if that's what you are lookin for, plunge away friend.

I feel like pharmahuasca (particularly with minimized nausea) could probably be the most effective in an iso tank just (for myself I'm imagining anyway) cause on acid or shrooms (especially acid) I feel like I would just wanna squirm around and get out of there the whole time. Pharma can be so immobilizing, that I wouldn't think it to be as large of an issue.

just be careful in these isolation tanks, you could revert into a primordial ape man and start eating local zoo animals during unconscious nighttime rages

Breaking through with a pipe in the float tank would be impractacle for several reasons:

1) No where to set the pipe
2) Risk of pipe sitting in water while you're in hyperspace (you want that salt water as clean as possible)
3) Distracts from the experience of the tank

You would be much better off using a mushroom tincture/tea or pharmauasca, or any other entheogen with mimimal to no side effects on your digestive system.

I don't think he's trolling you, just poking a bit of fun. Trolls don't make it to member status here at the Nexus.

You cannot say what is and is not funny. It depends on the person. I myself found it funny, and kept on reading the thread unimpaired by the joke.

Relax.

And yes, trolls (and hostile individuals) don't make it to member status... trust the system.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny. Lighten up! There's a lot of pranksters and goofballs on this site. Humor is social glue. The only way I have made it through life maintaining what little sanity I've been graced, especially when it comes to my entheogenic endeavors, is with a sense of humor.

As for the float tank idea, I had just been thinking about this! We should have a float tank experience thread. There's a float tank center near me, and I'm planning on giving it a try. I'll go sans entheogens first and later with entheogen. I'll have to see how the place works out, but I'll be doing either mushrooms, or mescaline as I am most familiar with these two.
Be an adult only when necessary.

MomentOfTruth is a solid member. I actually thought his joke was pretty funny.

In fact, Altered States was my first exposure to the idea of psychedelics and float tanks. It inspired me to read Center Of The Cyclone by John Lilly (whose work Altered States was inspired by) and then start messing around with tanks.

I lived in Chicago at the time and had some friends who owned a float tank place. My art was hanging in the lobby, so I felt very comfortable and at home there. I started out sober (or just high on weed) for 60-90 min, but ramped up to 4 hours on 500ug of acid over the course of about a dozen visits.

I never broke through in there. Had some very profound experiences though (tried 3G shrooms too). Stopped time in its tracks. Awesome.

But: minimal visuals. Also, the survival part of the brain remains cognizant of the water factor (make no mistake: you could end up floating face down in one of those). Some variables remain. And it takes a lot of mental work to tune out the much-amplified little things: salt drying on the skin, itching. Tiny messages from the bladder. Elbows floating awkwardly, pulling at the shoulders after a couple hours (rectified this by making elbow weights with socks and fistfuls of coins).

If you really want to try DMT in a tank, I'd recommend vaping while sitting up with the door open, lights dim. Keep a sitter in the room to take the pipe and make sure you lie down in the water the right way, facing up, and then they can close the door and listen for excessive splashing (in which case they should check on you). DMT will erase all sense of what's going on around you, and because of the water factor I think a sitter should be absolutely mandatory for safety purposes.

I'm well aware of the extent to which a human nervous system's reality-tunnel can be conditioned and programmed by experience, the media, ect ect. So spare me the lecture.

For all your preaching on love, you sound pretty fueled by anger and paranoia
