Hello im new to the Nexus i decided to join today because im about to go on the spiritual journey of my life.

so ive been collecting as much as i could all summer and now ive decided tonight is going to be the night
the setting is my apartment no one is here and ive unhooked my phone so i wont be disturbed also ive got Marilyn Manson playing!
Already made a really nasty tasting tea out of around 700 seeds and pulped root from the plant gulped it down and currently waiting for the effects to start im planning on smoking some jimsonweed leaf after i finish posting currently munching on the leaves about several grams i would guess ive already consumed not counting the seeds and roots.
So the reason im posting this is ive never done any-sort of drug before not even been drunk just a little buzzed off some neer beers in college so as you can all guess im a little nervous
Jimsonweed ive herd from a old Indian dude that its a sacred plant and legal so it must be safe and thats why i chose it to start my exploration of conscious!
So fellow Nexis member's what could i expect im thinking some nice colors and the giggles but im really hoping to meet the spirit of the plant and ask it if there is a afterlife because its something that's always intrigued me

its prob fake! to take datura as a first drug ever seems retarded (excuse my language but it is!)

wouldn't you smoke a joint or get drunk first, maybe some speed,x, acid, shrooms etc.. But to jump right into trying drugs and start with datura! and dose with 700 seeds without simply looking up the dose seems so dumb it has to be fake!

if he gets 3-6mg atropine per 100 seeds and has 700 seeds and >10mg of atropine is a lethal dose ... then he has ingested between 21 and 42 mg, so he is between 2 and 4 times the lethal dose.

If this person is able to throw up what he ingested then that will greatly improve the chances of his survival. Also rushing to the hospital to get immediate treatment will increase his chances.

However, it is possible that he already got too much in his system. This does not mean that a person will die by default but it can cause permanent damage to the brain and damage other organs.

I hope that we saved this person and that he has no permanent damage, or that this is just a troll, I the latter case we can all just laugh and go on with what we were doing. Either way, this thread will be an example of a caring community and will hopefully work as a warning and discouragment for people to take these kind of substances for psychedelic use.

Oh God, I remember when the kids in my town back in Romania found out about Datura...

They were tripping balls so hard, even tho they never experienced drugs. Sad movie to see, trust me.

Most of them are ok, but some got fried

Tried it myself once, a decent dose - not too much, I would never do that again and suggest you stay away from taking it. It can be the biggest mistake of your life.

Back in my freshman year of college I went psilocybe mushroom hunting with a guy who I met that day. After a couple of hours of hunting, and a fantastic harvest, we came across a brugmansia tree. He was supremely excited about his find and began plucking all of the flowers off of the tree and explaining the wonder of "Angels Trumpets". He gave me a couple flowers and we parted ways. When I got home I laid my mushrooms out to dry and I put the leaves in a plastic grocery bag and forgot about them.

About two weeks later I saw my friend and inquired as to where he had been. With a sigh, he told me that he had taken a dose that was waaaaay to large. He was so delirious that he attacked his mother thinking she was some kind of demon. His father had to restrain him while his mother, bloody and beaten, called the ambulance. In his fit of psychedelically induced rage he broke free from his fathers grip and barricaded himself in his room. The paramedics had to break down his door and shoot him full of chlorpromazine (not without a fight) just to get him out of the house. Later he admitted to me that when the ambulance came to take him he truly believed they were grey aliens that had come to take him back to the mothership. I was horrified by this story and went home to discard of the flowers but and by then my flowers had turned to a dark mushy paste in the grocery bag.

This experience made it very clear that anyone trifling in the world of psychedelic chemicals must consider the damage they can cause not only to themselves but also to their loved ones. I hope that Beowulf will be alright in the end and that this is a lesson he will not soon forget.
