My friend has the opportunity to order some Mimosa hostilis root bark from overseas but he is a bit worried about it arriving to Canada safely. He intends to order 1kg or less. Obviously the Mimosa hostilis law in Canada isn't as strict compared the law in U.S., but something still holds him back from ordering. Technically the plant is LEGAL.
He has been considering alternative plants such as Acacia confusa, Psychotria Viridis or Diplopterys cabrerana (Chaliponga).
He is leaning towards Acacia confusa because it is relatively potent and cheap.
My friend wants to make a pharma brew rather than extracting, but after a bit of research, extracting from Acacia confusa isn't much harder than with Mimosa hostilis.
-Any fellow Canadians having problems with receiving Mimosa hostilis?
-Is it a big deal importing small amounts of Acacia confusa as well?

This is a grey area; mimosa hostilis may not be illegal per se, but it does become so if ones intention is to use it for extracting/brewing psychoactives.Admittedly, proving nefarious intent may not be easy but one needs to be aware of the risks of importing MHRB which may bring an unwanted headache ranging from bringing oneself onto the radar of the authorities to bigger problems. If the purpose is to make a psychoactive brew then it may be wiser to get your starting materials from within your home country rather than importing.Psychotria viridis or Diplopterys will do the job once activated by RIMAs perfectly well. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

Thanks for your insight, corpus callosum.
Most Canadian vendors have followed the lead of the U.S. and removed Mimosa Hostilis from their stock.
P. Viridis and Diplopterys are available here, so I might have to go with one of those.
I was hoping someone could shed some light on how Acacia confusa is regarded at customs, as I have only found it available from the U.S. It would have to cross one border.

phalaris might grow in your area, it would be an ideal candidate for pharma. My wind instrument is the bong CHANGA IN THE BONGA! 樹

I would think Phalaris would be one the last resorts for pharma, considering the variability and range of different alkaloids. I think it would be playing with Fire.

Alright guys, I am deciding in between the Psychotria Viridis and Diplopterys cabrerana (Chaliponga). -P. Viridis is slightly cheaper by weight. -Chaliponga contains DMT as well as 5-MEO-DMT, yielding stronger effects. Bit more expensive. BTW, thanks for reminding me of Phalaris, I forgot about that one Another one to research.

It seems like you've already decided against the mimosa, but I'd just like to chime in and say you'd have a hell of a time getting it through customs, unless it's marked and packaged as something completely different, which is highly illegal to do also

I recently received a shipment of less then 1kg from overseas to the U.S. with no problems, i believe the package was labeled as natural dye.

That is an iffy thing to say..It is hardly an ideal candidate for pharma if one is looking for something with a clean DMT profile..unless maybe you have access to wild brachystachys or certain strains of aquatica. The grasses I was extracting(wild arundinacea), ingesting and had tested were def active and interesting..but not a mimosa substitue by a long shot..just something different alltogether. A known strain high in the desired alkaloids would be ideal for purposes of a mimosa replacement. Long live the unwoke.
