Everytime i do mushrooms my closed eyed hallucinations differ. They are often just too weird to describe. What I have found tho is that there is a reccurring theme in open eyed hallucinations. When I look at nature I will see eyes. Nature is a beautiful trip all on it's own. The spirit is big in these things. Acné on people's faces will morph and slide. When I look at any given pattern I feel it shows me the inside of my brain. I see recurring themes everytime i take mushrooms. Wherever I look i will see Terence Mckenna. One time a chrysanthemum started to form and it started to behave like a whirlpool (containing T. Mckenna). I hope to breakthrough with that vision someday. What strikes me tho, and what spurred me to make this post is that I have found out I will see portraits of people. It happens more and more. I will see a portrait of a given person. And there will be a pathway to that person. Every portrait has it's own colour and style. I've started to call them the "soul/ego" of that person. Maybe soul is not a good word. Perhaps their "Aura/energy" might be the term. Anyway , such is the visual aspect of my hallucinations. And i'm curious to find out how other people experience their visuals. My own personal question is to find out wether it differs on Ayahuasca or mushrooms. I'm going to do Ayahuasca tomorrow so maybe i'll post a trip report of that later. In the meanwhile i hope that in this thread we can compare visuals and share the beauty with others.

I pay more attention to the colors than the patterns, but I have to agree the best visuals I get are in nature. Auras are something that I often see and sometimes without the aid of psychs . Funny thing : We dropped some mdma a couple of nights ago and a friend left me a LED grow light to try out so we decided to try out the lights on our trip. I must say that the blue/red spectrum light makes a difference in the set and setting. The light is much more warm and conforting and it aids visuals without upsetting Have a safe journey on your Aya experience With these hands I have killed man and destroyed hopes and dreams. But when I open these hands I can hold my wife, make my children laugh and even aid others. It's not the path that we take but the choices that we make along that path that makes us who we are. -Waugriff

Light is awesome. My friend shined a flashlight in my face and it looked like a dozens of golden eyes spur from the light. I just stared at it in awe It is snowing in my country. Ive never tripped in the snow before. I wonder how the moonlight reflecting on the white snow will affect my visuals. I've always thought most open eyed hallucinations are an indirect effect of light reflected on the eyes and distorted somewhere in the Pineal Gland. (or however the brain works ^^) Thanks a lot for the heads up, i'm visiting Santo Daime. The ritual only lasts 4 hours so I might still be influenced with DMT by the time I step foot in the cold snow and enjoy some of that aswell.

I hope your SD experience will be a good one. I, myself, dont like them I would also like to add that it would be better not to shine a bright light into anyones eyes specially when hes tripping balls. Strong lights may lead to seizures or blackouts, stay safe Bless. With these hands I have killed man and destroyed hopes and dreams. I know, i know. He had not tripped before at the time and was just trying to capture me tripping balls with a photocamera because he himself was so amused. My first and only SD experience has been suprisingly positive. Despite some of the constrains and awkwardness I had a good time and met some beautiful people there. I don't want to put any constrains on what you might share or not share in this thread. Please, speak freely. I'm just very interested to hear about recurring patterns of your trips. If you have any. Please share.

i only really get two consistent reoccurring visuals, and it is primarily on mushrooms (though once on aya). the first look like a series of brownish-reddish cogs. they are very intricate, and start 2-dimensional, but they get 3-dimensional (anything after that is too high a dose to see them). they never move regardless of where you look, only instead of appearing to be in front of what you are seeing (in your eye or something), they appear to be behind everything you see. the second is a mayan/aztec series of patterns that move in a circular pattern. they always seem to morph out of the gears, so they retain a lot of the same movement. only these visuals do not appear to be "behind" reality so much as skimming the surface... much as the iridescent colors swirl across the surface of a bubble, they seem to smoothly glide across whatever i look at (almost like an impossibly thin fog of sorts). i get these just about every-time i eat mushrooms nowadays (ever since they first popped up, which was only like my 3rd trip or so). it is really the only thing i can "expect" with psychs, and it may be limited to cubensis only, for all i know (i have yet to taste other species). Besides the usual 'breathig walls' and such I get Eyelid Movies, AKA MandalaVision. Both as CEV and sometimes OEV. I will often see auras around people, sometimes a jelly like flux of light that sort of floats around within a couple inches of their skin and sometimes also a much larger shell of light surrounding them entirely like an orb. Light can do crazy things too, out in the woods on a warm autumn day with reddish light coming through the golden leaves everything just disolved into a flat patterned plane of motion, absolutely abstract. Then after a while the same patterns resolved to a 3d space. Nothing changed about the patterns itself, but for several minutes or more I could not perceive it as a 3d world, it was just motion and light. A similar thing once happened in the spring too, all green instead of autumn colors and it moved in time with the sound of an old steam powered train that was passing on the other side of the valley. Once tripping with one of my closest friends I could see many faces forming, aging and fading away all in and around his long hair. At the time I thought they might have been other incarnations of his soul. Hard to say what it was, but it was pretty awesome to look at. There were dozens of them, male and female and different races. Images of broken light, Which dance before me like a million eyes, They call me on and on...

Awesome replies you guys, thank you very much. I try to visualize what you describe. You guys' writing style make it so much easier. Also it's so crazy and out-there. I woulden't believe a word your saying if I didn't know any better.
I think i understand what you mean with "thin fog" Parshvik Christian. I've had Aztek-style kind of writing circulate my room. I've never had visuals "behind" reality , or breathing walls for that matter. But more of a thin-fog style that just goes wherever i look. And just once i had a cool visual trip where my lamp was distorting form to make out a spaceship. That was cool.

You deserve a more full reply than the one I'm about to give, but maybe when I'm a bit more clear-headed, I'll elaborate for myself personally. In the mean time, here's a relevant video. There's just one huge difference i noticed between cells and larger organisms like us. That is, that cells duplicate by splitting their DNA and making 2 where there is 1. We don't do that. We merge the DNA of 2 people together to make 1 new organism. (a baby) It's such a simple thought but interesting to see the differences in larger organisms and how that might affect evolution.

(a baby) It's such a simple thought but interesting to see the differences in larger organisms and how that might affect evolution. We are made up of trillions of united cells tho. When cells split up they are only duplicating information. Where when 2 cells come together they are combining information which definitely affects evolution. It all seems under-rated. The only psychedelic i have experimented with so far is DMT. Everything textured moves everything vibrates and is more vibrant. My cevs evolve out all these worms and liquid and create some pretty hard to describe visuals which are always changing, i see strange symbols strange flowers and human forms. With my high dose oevs colors become darker and the world i know deteriorates and when i get here whether my eyes stay open or become closed things become incredibly real and turn from visuals to more than dream-like experiences. Although LSD and mushrooms are quite different in many ways, I find that my OEVs are very similar between them, when on equivalent doses. At small amounts (100-200ug or 1-2 grams) I'll get the breathing/melting walls. That's pretty much standard issue. At slightly higher doses (200-400ug, 2-5 grams) the most striking thing is the clarity of how the surrounding world is organized. Look at concrete, tree branches, carpeting, whatever, and you see these very clear patterns of organization amidst the chaos. In concrete, for instance, it appears as a tangle of overlapping triangular shapes of all sizes. When I see these patterns I realize that they are always there, and that I am usually just not quite tuned in enough to see them clearly. Because these patterns embody simple truth about the structure of the world, they tend to appear quite beautiful too. At higher doses, anything goes. Check out the guyomech gallery at www.dmt-nexus.me/art to get a random sampling. With DMT I'll get much more bright, distinct and structurally flawless patterns. Sometimes they will be fractal in nature, sometimes mandalas. Often I'll be inside rooms that are covered on every surface with shifting tile patterns, all done up in the most insanely high contrast carnival colors. I get tile patterns a lot. Get them on acid and shrooms too, but not nearly as vividly. Sometimes, on any substance, I'll find myself beholding a shape or a group of shapes, and they will morph and change shape, color, detail etc. continuously. On DMT, my visuals are usually accompanied by their linguistic meaning, beamed straight into my language center. Pretty much all of my visuals on any substance are pure abstraction: I don't get any mundane everyday objects or creatures in there. The few entities I encounter are clearly robotic windup extensions of the surrounding stuff, more abstract than figurative. Usually the narrative, if any, is quite alien.

I've checked out your gallery Guyomech. Multiple times. It's one of the strangest ive ever seen. Incomprehensible stuff right there. I especially like Automech. Gives me a weird sense of 4 dimensional presentations of a 3 dimensional object.
Triangles huh? Some people see cogs. Others see molecules. I suppose you have infinity if you put a triangle upside down into another triangle. You can do this indefinitely.
I wonder if this is an interpretation of the brain or an actual reality.

There is a tree near my driveway and when the wind blows beautifully through the leaves they talk to me. During this exchange of dialect it told me about it's most recent experience with cubensis which I found noteworthy: with eyes closed the hallucinations become very intense, long links of colorful images dance, upon viewing these colorful images it becomes apparent that these colorful images are X and Y chromosomes dancing harmoniously. Then, the eyes open to a very real and heartwarming sensation; not only was the feeling of unity with the earth and direct surroundings exemplified, but the hair on my head began to grow with the grass, INTO the grass.
All of the trees have a wisdom and seemingly conscious presence unrecognized by sober eyes, although I debate whether this actually is a hallucination or the actual reality of the energy-based intelligence system that is present within our world.
Hallucination or reality? I believe reality is comprised of hallucinations.
Good vibes, good thoughts

Nice one DMTree. Very peculiar experience. Trees always seem sentient entities when i'm high enough.
I love the rapid transition from DNA chromosomes to becoming a piece of grass. Very epic.

I don't know about you, but hyperspace carnival is a somewhat frequent theme in my experiences. Never seen a carnival so extremely beautiful though.

I haven't seen much of a carnival or hyperspace for that matter. I wonder how that would look like. My santo daime appointment for this week cancelled so I got myself psyched up to try some other stuff in the meanwhile. As I am very curious for more psychedelic experience. Really hungry for more at this point.
There's this meditation/exercise that involved standing still with slightly bend knees and slightly lifted arms. Doing this for a long period of time feels kind of nice. Doing this for a long time will wear you out. This is what I imagine a tree must feel if it's conscious of own activities. The knees/body being the trunk. My arms would be the branches. My fingers represent the smaller branches on the thicker ones. Each of those muscles are being strained which feels nice and natural. Until at some point it will become too strenous and i'll give up.. Just like a tree will once die at the end of it's lifetime, when it has given up and deteriorates back into nature.

Being a tree lover, you have no idea how well you related to me. Thank you very much for that post I will definitely have to try that kind of meditation, as consciousness expanding techniques are very interesting and dear to me. Again, wow. I am going to copy and past your analogy between humans and trees to a word document for myself to reflect on if you don't mind. Can you tell me a bit about santo daime from your personal experience if it isn't a hassle? That sounds very interesting to me. On a side note, goodluck with your future hyperspace endeavors. I'm sure you will learn alot about yourself, as I have
