Hi everyone! It´s been a while since I posted anything here.

I read somewhere (it was a forum, I just don´t remember which one) that mild DMT trips are somehow "harder" and that´s more probable to have some fear, doubts or uncomfort with them than with full hyperspace trips. What do you think?

I have yet to break through (fairly new to DMT here... I have to admit I still feel fear of blasting off) so these experiences were not hyper real, very clear just not hyper real and somewhat lacking in color. I have had 3 mild trips and want to comment on those, here goes:

1) On the first one (it was the third or fourth time I smoked DMT, around 50mg I think) I saw what seemed to be a golem made of... bricks? Something like bricks. He was coming at me and seemed to be incredibly friendly, actually it extended its hand and was obviously coming for a handshake. I felt awful that I had no hand to extend back Confused. I felt no fear at all, but no "wonderful feelings" either, just the certainty that the golem was a great guy.

2) This time I was around 60mg and it was a little scary. The idea of losing myself freaked me out a little (not a big deal, just a bit). The auditory hallucinations were AMAZING! After some seconds I saw eyes, or something, in some sort of colorful blobs and rainbow rings. Definitely a female presence. Those eyes seemed to be... judgmental in a way. However I did come out saying things like "WTF was that???" and "Oh God, that was weird!".

3) A little lower dose, around 55mg. I started to feel a little freaked out again but this time something happened, at some point I felt absolutely sure (for no reason) that I wasn't going to lose my ego and a feeling of warm comfort wrapped me like a blanket. Immediately after I saw this female entity made of leaves. I understood immediately that I was being healed. Didn't last long but it was great!

Well, returning to the original point: do you think mild trips can be harsher? That little freak out feeling I get could be because of the in-between state of not being here but not being there?

I'd love to hear what you think.

Cheers!

Hi there

Firstly I have never taken DMT so regarding DMT alone I cannot say.

I have taken heroic doses of Shrooms and lucy and I can say for sure, if you start out very low the negative effects are limited as one has much more control.

With myself I feel the negative effects are caused due to mostly fear of the unknown, especially when on a lev 4 or close to a lev 5 trip.

Having little or no suppressed mental going on also helps as this tends to rear its ugly head when tripping, for me at least.

I find some sort of relaxation / meditation / breathing technique with some relaxing music before hand to set the mind works great, if traveling alone do it in a safe and familiar environment where no one is going to disturb you unexpectedly. If taken with others, then it should be with people you know and trust, the perfect setting.

set and setting are I would say, the 2 most important things when tripping. Mostly set, if you are having problems in life and feel depressed or down then you are much more likely to have a hard time and your fears or issues could become your focus whilst tripping making you think and feel things you would otherwise try to avoid, not good! also the fear of this or something similar happening can also make you fearful whilst tripping.

I find telling myself, "I am fine now and will be fine when I come down, I cannot die, I cannot be harmed and worrying is my worst enemy, let the trip literally take me on a trip, don't fight it" works wonders Smile

Hope this helps.

peace

I think it's safe to say that you can encounter both sides of the spectrum at both mild as well as breakthrough doses. DMT is completely unpredictable. You could have a fantastic time; you could have a tough time. Sometimes it's as if the emotions are purely chemical to the extent that I could have the "same" experience by going to the same place on two separate occasions, but when it's over, one time I might feel rather drained, and the other time I could be on top of the world. While emotions can no doubt be linked to the individual scenarios of what's going on in hyperspace, there's still much gray area. Breakthroughs can be the best thing ever, or they can be unbearable at times. I find it unwise to start making generalizations about DMT, especially in the absence of (much) direct experience.

My only experience that can be technically called "a bad trip" was on a low dose of DMT. I had another dose that was low that started as negative but I battled the entities negative energy and ended up in an amazing place with good entities. Neither doses I had any fears going in.

In reply to the OP, what device are you using? Those are all three extremely high doses and I would hate to see you properly Vape that size.

it depends what you mean by mild. i can see why some people would say sub-breakthroughs where your stuck straddling the dimensions are harder: because they are very strange and lack the cathartic orgasmic release into the sea of bliss but contain a good amount of the confusion and intensity of a full dose. Although if you prepare and meditate and enter in a more calm and coherent state even these can be extremely enjoyable

so no i don't really agree, although its sort of hard to even answer since theres so many variables and so much is left up to interpretation

the majority of the time though, after working with a lot of lower-doses of dmt, i find them much much much easier to handle than a full dose. once you get used to it, its just like being on mushrooms...atleast changa...straight dmt doesn't feel as much like mushrooms to me for some reason. everyones different though

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

I would say milder trips have the potential to be harder because you have one foot in each reality. Your mind still has the ability to trick you and control things. Grasping to control things at the least.

My opinion.
"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."
