Hi!

I'm totally new to DMT, but experienced with high doses of LSD, shrooms.
This was so amazingly different.
I tried my best to research a lot, have good setting, etc.

I took two good tokes of fb DMT... guess I inhaled about 30 of the 50mgs I put in the vaporizer.

Wow... strangest and most powerful thing I've done in my life.
Scary really since it wasn't exactly a good pleasant trip...

The world disappeared (the leaves of the palm tree i looked at melted in on itself with vibrant energy) and I entered a strange vibrating time loop with flashing colors and echoing thoughts...

I asked myself "What am I doing, what's the meaning of this, am I dying, am I breathing, will my heart stop, etc... "

I understand that it's safe but was really worried because reality was so incredibly distorted.
Also, it felt like I've done this before, really strong deja-vu feeling.
Is this normal experience? Can't seem to find any trip reports that match it.

My goal was to reach hyperspace and visit the places McKenna and others speak about, with sentient beings, guardians, etc.
I didn't meet anyone/thing.... nor hear a strong carrier wave. I felt a metallic echo, sort of like being under water, but without water, hard to explain...

MY QUESTIONS:
Was I close to breaking through?
Do I dare to take even stronger hits?
Any suggestions from your part?

I'm really trying to convince myself that it's safe so that I can relax that part and enjoy the trip.

I really want to explore this even more...

All the best and thanks Smile

This is a completely normal experience. I used to get these a lot, and still do from time to time. It sounds like somewhere around the mid range of a sub-breakthrough (yes, the sub-breakthroughs can be quite intense).

No need to worry about all that. Aside of the fact that no one has died from this, if you were dead, there's not much you'd be able to do about it anyway, so why fret?

Did you close your eyes at all during the experience? If you're looking to breakthrough and have visions, you're more likely to achieve such ends through closing your eyes (though there is no doubt much open-eyed magic that can be beheld).

1) It's hard to say. For example, there have been times where I've had a completely boring sub-breakthrough experience and around 3/4 of the way in just when it looks like all of the most "intense" part has past (despite its mediocrity), it can all of a sudden, out of no where, just ramp up into a full-on breakthrough. It's hard to say what leads to a breakthrough, but having any kind of resistance to it won't help. If you're worried inside and out about dying and your breathing and all of that, then you're not likely to have a breakthrough. You've got to confidently just surrender yourself to the experience with the trust that you'll come out the other end in one piece, and hopefully more "whole" than before.

2) If you'd like, you can take stronger hits. Make sure you're holding them in for like 15 seconds or so. This experience goes much deeper. The echoing thoughts are somewhat indicative to me of a sub-breakthrough. At the lower end of the spectrum, the brain's filters are more apparent, so here light after-images, echoing thoughts and the like are more apparent whereas towards the higher end of the spectrum, from the breakthrough vista, it's predominantly that other realm entirely.

3) Have faith in yourself. Remember that no one has ever stopped breathing or died (directly) from this. Resistance to aspects of the experience will impede your ability to travel further. Furthermore, the more you improve on your ability to let go in hyperspace, the more you can transfer this ability to other areas of daily life such as letting go of frustrating thoughts, etc...

It takes a little while to get used to the physical feelings, among other things Smile. If your in it for the long haul then take your time. I was initially attracted by McKenna and others descriptions but realized quickly that i needed to discard all preconception and expectation and take it as it came. It wont be the same as what you've read.

Its super powerful and intense so always make sure your in a safe quiet location where you wont be disturbed at all, setting is of major importance.

I like to start with eyes open to judge whats happening. When objects begin to twist and move I know I'm on the right track. I stayed at that dose for a almost a year as I got used to it, I love how it distorts and orders our visual reality, its like beautiful art to me.

Try to remember a few key things, First its weirder than anything you can imagine and then some. The trip will usually be 5 to 10 minutes depending on what you mix with it.

Most important is to breathe through the intense parts. Take deep breathes and hold your ground, don't panic stay as cool as possible. Talk yourself through it as well reassure yourself that you will be ok.

If you take too much and loose it completely as in loss of body, loss of self, crazy loops and total immersion into freekout ville than most of what I've said will be of little use.
So i suggest in the beginning to be careful of your dose.

Trying to stay calm and not panic is the best thing you can do always, ride it out be cool breath you'll be fine.

One thing that has always helped me through the really strong experience is to focus on my breathing. No matter how intense the trip is, even if I am in complete ego death mode, I can still feel myself breath. It always gives me hope knowing my that body is out there somewhere, safe, warm, and awaiting my return.
We have chosen this life for a reason, and it is our purpose to understand why.

Only those who are willing to go too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

Thanks a lot for your answers!
I'm definitely going to dig deeper.
First time I built a glass pipe out of a few small bottles with a chamber with steel wool.
I think it works exceptionally well, despite the fact I used tobacco to protect it from flames.
Now I just received a Vapor Genie Classic plus 10 extra screens so that I can smoke it clean.

I'd like to know how easy it is to extract myself here in Sweden.
If it's half as interesting as I think it is, then I'm in for the long haul.

Once again, thanks for your suggestions and for a great forum.

See you on the other side Pleased
