Convert DMT FB to DMT fumarate for long-term storage and keep in a cool dark place. When you are ready to smoke, convert back to FB. Also, make sure to read the FAQs. You could have saved yourself a post.

Alternative ways? Like what? What's wrong with a proven method?

Regretfully, I feel you didn't even read the OP and just came here to throw the FAQ at me.

Rolling eyes

No, I read it. Regretfully, this time I'm throwing a down-vote for promotion at you. Drop the attitude.

Cheers.

BTW, below is one of the many threads addressing the issue of aqueous storage. The opinion seems to be that liquid degrades the chemical much faster than dry storage.

Solid storage vs Liquid storage. (Extraction to liquid too)

Search: aqueous (or liquid) storage

Accepted and down-vote removed. Realize, however, I did not address the initial question directly because it has already been shown to be an inferior method of storage -- which is why I suggested storing as a fumarate.

Good luck.

I'd just like to point out that over time I've found many online forums become very unwelcoming to new members and so far that's something that has been avoided in the nexus which is a big part of why this is the only such forum I've joined.

however I don't think D empty was being rude at all.

it wasn't until your rather aggressive post about why you would want to think of new ways to do things that there was anything other than a strong feeling of curiosity and respect. even then he was really not disrespectful just voicing a very valid disagreement with you.and also voice that you had actually not responded to the original post. if it had been proven inferior that was all that needed saying, personally I can definitely see benefits for both and it could depend on the situation.certainly no harm in questioning established methods.

anyhow I certainly mean no disrespect to anyone and just thought it immoral of me to not point out what I saw as an abuse of power.(the threat of a down vote due to someone not just agreeing with what you said when in fact his original statement had remained unanswered)

This is way off-topic, TreadLightly, and not really appropriate for this thread. However, I feel obligated to respond.

All but new members have the right to vote for or against promotion. When I vote I do so outside my position as moderator. This is my right as a member here. If I wanted to abuse my power I could have banned him or done other things to make him go away. However, I only do this when absolutely necessary. Therefore, your accusation that I abused my power is unfounded and misplaced.

If you understood how often answered questions are asked over and over again then you might understand why many of us are a bit short. An endless amount of time was put into making the FAQ and Wiki and it's amazing how many ignore it and instead beg to be spoon fed (not talking about you here D).

BTW - So far, I'm the only person to actually answer his question. My delivery might be a bit harsh - but at least it gets him somewhere instead of whining over a false abuse of power...
