So, I'm sure this question hath been asked many times, but I'd still like to spark up a convo about it. Which does the Nexus prefer? To imbibe the foul but all enlightening yage, or to break through with one fell swoop with some of the crystalline?

Me, I personally love everything about Ayahuasca, there is just something about the effort one goes through to prepare it. It just adds an overall felling that this experience is a result of ones hard work and desire to learn. Also, it feels like I'm following in the foot steps of all the shamans before me; as I like to include people who are on the path of higher knowledge and act as their guide. People who have never experienced this ancient sacrament and have and open mind and heart.

I'm not saying smoking is a bad way to go, I've had much enjoyment from it. However, it just does not yield the same overall experience for me. What are your opinions? Thumbs up

This is prob something that will differ from person to person depending on their experience/experiences, personally i love them both dearly but i will always hold aya closer to my heart than any other psychedelic i have ever tried. They both i think can get you to the same place but with aya after its over i feel like its not over like with dmt, where an hour or so after a launch i feel more or less the same. With smoking dmt it happens so fast it can be hard to learn anything and found aya to be simply more HEALING(mostly due to the purge), gentle and guiding. And you get chance to form a relationship with the plants so they after time sort of become a part of you and aya helps reconnect with nature... I could keep going but its all beyond words.. And Not to say i dont enjoy a good dmt journey but yeh like parshvik said mangos and pineapples Drool

It's really hard for me to say which is particularly so in my case as whenever I consume ayahuasca, I always end up smoking DMT throughout the experience anyway. My aya experiences usually last a while (4-8 hours) and as a result of its highly immobilizing tendencies, it requires that I have a good deal of stamina. I'm not a big fan of the nausea. If I can purge and get rid of it, I'm a happy camper. If not, it's an extremely unfortunate dimension to the experience.

With vaped DMT on the other hand much less is mentally required. No matter how the experience goes, it's gonna be 5-10 (15 rarely) minutes and then it's gonna be over. I know some people have a hard time integrating such short experiences, but to me the concision can help with the understanding. There's also something I like about the purity of DMT visuals without any harmalas in the mix. For me, harmalas create larger, a bit more rounded, geometries like macrovision. There's just something about that pure aesthetic of DMT freebase that I'm really a fan of. I also like the instantaneous onset. Even when you vape DMT on harmalas, the onset is delayed by about 15-30 seconds, and even then I find myself getting a bit antsy. For my own personal taste, I prefer to become enveloped while I'm still holding in my first hit.

I defiantly agree with cosmic butterfly, Aya has always felt more healing than anything else. Global is certainly right about the "pure aesthetic of DMT freebase" as I really like the whole breaking through the chrysanthemum stage. But I still feel like I can get more done with an Aya trip simply because I get to stay longer.

Smoking DMT during an Ayahuasca trip would just be so out of this dimensionShocked Usually I like to make pretty strong Yage and I always end up losing my fine motor control; making the simplest things become very difficult. Also on top of that I can hardly see the outside world. I remember this one trip where for some odd reason I had a safety pin in my shirt and it took like ten minutes to get it out.Laughing
