So looking to do a full spectrum extraction like q21q21 tek # 1.. When this tek thanks who posted it

250g powdered MHRB is added to ~250g sodium carbonate. Sodium carbonate can be found at some wal mart stores as brew-rite coffee machine cleaner, incidentally... (it can also be made by cooking baking soda in the oven for several hours)

This is hydrated but not made watery, a la most CaOH teks. It should be a little chunkier than liquidy however. Time is allowed for all of the alkaloids to freebase, and lots of 91-99% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is added (SWIM used 91%). This is shaken and allowed to settle.

The IPA pours off quite easily if the mix is chunky enough. Filtered through a coffee filter and evaporated to yield a reddish brown freebase oil contaminated with excess sodium carbonate.

It is re-dissolved in warm 91% IPA (99% would be ideal here...) to remove the insoluble sodium carbonate, then evaporated to reveal a purer freebase oil. This oil should be good to go, and SWIM believes it is full-spectrum, including jungle spices. SWIM melted and allowed a little to vaporize on some glass - old familiar spice smell... (edit: tried some, identical to 'jimjam' spice)

the first extraction ( using either one above) using 50g mhrb powder is used. If doing only 50g would one be able to get a suitable couple doses from the sodium carbonate/ipa or would it be worthless...... Has ne one heard of replacing the d-limonene step in q21q21 tek with sunflower oil. So these are some issues One could hope someone can shed some light on.

Again with only using 50 mhrb for first extraction, could 2 suitable doses be obtained from the sodium carbonate/ipa tek or will q21q21 be the best bet

You can do something like this for mimosa if you want to use iso..It has worked for me in the past. You have to really follow the steps though. With mimosa I got jim jam waxy stuff..noot crystals like in that photo. It was very active.

Sunflower oil works fine in place of limo for me.

I used 100g mimosa using q21 Tek with awesome results. I recommend vodsels approach. Much better IMO. Just google vodsel q21q21

is it possible to replace the ipa with 95% everclear

i had awesome (2%+) results with the regular q21q21 tek.. i see no problem with it

So has any one actually been able to get a quality or even a+ quality from the simple sodium carbonate/ipa tek

I really appreciate anrchy's digging the extraction process I posted long ago (and it certainly worked) but I totally agree with PC here. What I did was basically the regular Q21Q21 tek, I don't think there's any substantial difference. When I posted it, I didn't even think it might be regarded as "my own approach". The basic differences were in the writeup.
