After long preperation time [bought my shreded mhrb 1.5 years ago] i finaly decided to extract after a good teaching course with DMTTripper.

I boiled the bark (100g) 3x30min 1L the first boil and 4 table spoon of 4.5% vinegar then in 800 ml i was gona put 2 caps of vinegar but i was clumsy and it was about 3 caps at that time i tought i ruined everything and the last boil was with 600 ml water and 1 cap vinegar (that was my plan to save everyting ) witch evaporate to almost nothing.

i filtered everything and put it in big ikea jar then i put 100g (400ml) caustic soda into the mix and waited for a bit. Then i put it under a hot tup water for 15-20 min. After the bath i put 50 ml of white fuel (benzin) and began to shake but there was a bit of an heat presure inside tha jar and i sprayed the black mixture all around the place and i was in panic attack wich was just fun adventure after cleaned everyting with wet cloth.

Then i was gona pull everything with the baster wich was very anoying becouse the solvent refuse to stick in the tube and in my frustration i just heated it once more put about 100 ml of extra fuel, shake shake shake then i pulled it with ease. but it in a jar with paper towel on top. Put it aside for 2 days and in a freezer for a day. I was surprised how yellow the liquid was and the dmt odor was wery strong

After the freezing i poured the rest of the fuel in another glass and dried the the creamy colorerd and powdered spice.

After scraping the dmt out an i put it on the scale i was just mindblowed

3.150 Grams!



How on earth is this posible? and there is a bit more in the freezer after washing the jar.

I don´t know if i should be happy or sad. More happy i gues.

glad your first extraction worked out but be carefull, if you had got any of the based mix in your eyes it wouldnt have been fun.

3.1g from 100g of bark is a very high yield indeed, are you gonna try a Re-x?

Im gona take 1 gram and re-x that. see where that goes.

My best guess is that there are impurities in it. You used benzene? Did you mean white gas ?

White gas yes.

Mimosa usually yields more like 0.5-1%, probably you have some contamination with lye. Try washing your product with chilled ammonia to clean it up.

Also it sounds like you've already realized that adding NaOH to water is an exothermic reaction. Be careful to let the pressure off, and you were smart to wear protective glasses. The black goo can give you chemical burns if it sprays onto you.

Well it's quite common to get over 2% yield but I've heard ammonia wash is a big no no. Heard of people loose a lot of the goodies when doing that. So I've never done it myself. It's either a re-x or sodium carbonate wash for me.
