this is only semi-related at best, but i have always found it funny the way humans will shove their noses into plant genitals (don't they smell divine?).

they are so ashamed of their own genitals that they must cover them up with plant fibers, then we go and snip the genitals off a dozen roses and give them to our loved ones as a romantic gift.

just a funny thought i had on mushrooms, and i was reminded of it reading the OP

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

haha that's hilarious I never thought of it that way.. and you know, maybe all these psychoactive substances we find in plants are just payback time for all the genital snipping and abuse. "Hey those humans are so stupid they'll try anything, let's start producing some stuff that will lure them in with pretty colors and visuals, and once they're deep enough it will show them what it feels like to get their genitals cut off and getting all their orifices raped by an army of intergalactic squids.."

And I bet they're laughing twice as hard now that we're starting to take these experiences seriously and find some meaning in them..

Shocked
i wonder if there are alien plant-like organisms that feed off other frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum (like x-rays or something).
