Hey everyone!
after surfing the nexus, I have finally registered. Feels good to have new questions to be answered. I've been experienced for some time now in some of the basic psycho actives.
but zero experience with DMT. Im here because I dont know anyone who has any knowledge beyond the experience, and its a must for me to be educated before I try any experiences myself.
Although im non-spiritual my interests now are mostly in Aya brew. Freebase doesnt sound very appealing to me at the moment. Especailly now I dont smoke anymore, tho my vaporizers get plenty of usage.
my goal is to raise questions, learn, and at some point experience the ancient journey of Ayahuasca

DMT is to be vaped not smoked anyways; you probably already knew that, but just in case you didn't (i know freebase doesn't interest you, but what about changa? - essentially smoked ayahuasca).

also make sure to check out the ayahuasca subforum if you haven't already (especially the all about aya thread.

Welcome StrangeDejaVape! Smile

Its excellent that you wish to be 'educated' before attempting to experience DMT; with that attitude I think you'll find yourself quite at home at the Nexus. There really is a vast amount of knowledge accumulated here but if you do have any new questions to ask then please do.

Once more, welcome aboard!

I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

I've talked about it a little bit with some guys in a vaporizer forum and I'd love to try it, but it sounds a like a more advanced technique compared to aya brew. from what I read i feel i should start simple as possible.
BUT...Please let me know if im wrong, there were lots of big words I read and I may have just been overwhelmed by all the technical terms im not completely familiar with yet.

ayahuasca may not be as simple as it seems (For some it is, it took me 4 'dud' brews [3 of which were properly dosed and brewed] before my first experience) - the best advice i was given is to brew two doses that way you can re-dose as necessary (which it might not be - wait at least an hour)

Chea thats sorta what i'm running into. I know about zero when it comes to chemical extraction. Everything I read on changa seemed to start with just that. I cannot find what I was reading, but its somewhere out there on the web. It was the aya vs. changa forum which led me to sign up to this forum.
I'll admit I probably scanned thru the post but I wasnt understanding it anyways and now Im reading more into it I seem to definitely be wrong.
After a few more hours of reading, changa seems to be completely viable. The DMT door seems to only have been cracked open. This site has an overwhelming amount of literature. I just want to try and keep my learning curve level, and not get way out ahead of myself.

before joining Nexus, Smoking Dmt seemed to be the most popular way of intake other than Aya.
in a vaporizer forum people were asking about vaping salvia and dmt, someone brought up changa. i told them i was sure it was possible, just depending on if the vaporizer can reach the proper temp. salvia seems to need upwards of 230c to vaporize i have no idea what dmt vaporizes at. im curious about the other elements as well. im assumung its similar to marijuana, when vaporized the THC will be close to pure, but not all cabanoids will be present. So the dose of dmt doesnt have to be as high in a vape, but do the harmalas and alkaliods vape as well?

if you vape it all the way, i doubt it..
but you can try.... or you can try smoking it after vaping to see if there is still any harmala effect or whatever.

Hello StrangeDejaVape,

Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you for taking the time to post an Introduction Essay as well as follow-ups to questions and comments. That's a great way to jump right in here, Smile.

Regardless of what you choose, and it sounds like aya is your path, you will find rock solid information here. This place is worth the investment in time it may take to learn the new information.

Don't get me wrong - you don't really need to understand any chemistry to be able to do these teks - I'd say anyone who can cook (i.e. follow directions and be safe) can extract. Slow and steady wins the "race," read everything three times before doing and don't be afraid to ask questions to bring more clarity to procedures.

I hope you enjoy your time here and choose to be an active participant, and again I welcome you to the Nexus.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."
