I've booked a trip to participate in 7 ayahuasca ceremonies in the Amazon jungle over a 12 day period.

While preparing to go, have been adjusting my diet, as suggested, and reading more about the experience.

I ran across an article that sounds similar to some of the things I have already experienced, mine not being nearly as in depth, or as life shaking/changing.

The more i read and do research, the more I feel that the best way to get as much as possible out of these type of experiences is to insure you have a kind, experienced shaman to guide you, and help you thru the "spirit" world.

The link I am posting below is an incredible description of events that should be of some interest to most on the Nexus, IMO

I want to thank Trav, and all the rest of the beings of light, that are part of the Nexus for helping me to prepare mentally, and more, for what I believe will be the most incredible opportunity that I have ever had.

I'm in the same boat as you as of this May. 10 day Dieta in Peru, 4 ceremonies. I know the shaman I'm working with is highly regarded and the person who recommended him to me has been back over 5 times, but holy shit - I still can't believe I'm doing it. Then again, not doing it wasn't ever a thought (double negative). Thanks for the article, and good luck on your journey!

I'm also nearing my ayahuasca ceremonies(about ten days away) in Costa Rica, and we'll be doing six ceremonies in ten days. She shamans are from Ecuador, and I mainly chose Guaria de Osa because Antrocles gave it such high praise. Here's the write-up of his final ceremony there, if you're interested in reading: https://www.dmt-nexus.me...aspx?g=posts&t=30938

And here are a couple of good podcast interviews about ayahuasca ceremonies: http://www.youtube.com/w...7X8pnlwILhw&index=12

They're both worth listening to, and I feel like hearing others' stories helps a bit in knowing what to expect, but there's obviously no way to fully prepare for what kind of undertaking it's really going to be. I'm doing my best to prepare my body and mind to get the most out of the experience, and am getting more excited as the day gets closer. Best of luck on your journey. I hope we both come back with some amazing things to share.

Thanks for the links Shamasi!!

I hope your trip delivers all and more than you could possibly imagine!!!

By the way, just a tip, you may want to skip the part about stepping smack dab in the middle of the fire!!!!

Safe travels my friend.

We'll have to compare notes when I return.

Much Love...........

Yeah, I don't plan on walking on hot coals or getting struck by lightning, but we'll see what happens. Smile

And we'll definitely have to swap stories with each other when we're back. I wish you the best. When are your ceremonies happening?

I arrive Feb 3rd, with the 1st ceremony on the evening of the 4th....

The last, or 7th ceremony is on the 13th.......

Going to hang for a few days after that before returning tho, to chill out a bit first........

They use only caapi and chacruna............the pure brew, as such!!!

See you on the other side Shamasi!!
