Hello All!

So I went out a bought a VG and on my first try I had success but then after my ratio diminished to almost nothing... I have had too many misfires... So with my misfires and having just purchased a VG, I had to figure out how to still use the VG while giving me visual feedback so I could adjust on the fly.

So after breaking down the VG, sawing, drilling and some elbow grease I got the guts of the VG out of the wood body. I was going to buy a fancy bubbler and modify that but wanted something everyone could replicate on the cheap that's efficient(I am all about efficiency).

Materials:
VG - Classic Vapor Genie - Wooden $40
Rubber gasket from local headshop FREE
8" steam roller $15

Here is what I came up with for a grand total of $55:

I do plan to design an electric vaporizer solely for DMT this year. The design is under way already and I will be posting it once I get close to the prototype phase. I would like to develop it with all of your suggestions so I can tailor it to most peoples needs.

What did you do to take that cylindric part that holds screen out of the wooden pipe? It seats tight, doesn't it?

It's pressed into the wood body pretty damn well. I drilled a hole through it a few times and then took a chisel and busted the wood off.

Inhaling burnt rubber. Sounds both healthy and tasty.

Nope.

Temp range for the gasket is -60° to 525° F

In that case, you have successfully fashioned a GVG. Good work.

It's the po' boy's GVG!

Does that little mushroom decal make it work better?

Pretty cool man, I love tinkering with stuff, too. In one of Dennis Leary's stand up bits he went on a tirade about how smoking weed doesn't lead to harder stuff, it leads to carpentry. He said he had to quit because he just got sick of building things.

DMT world seems to have striking parallels....
