I've been taught that avoidance of calories is very useful with this medicine. From my experiences I would tend to agree.

youve been taught well

The avoidance of calories? Like fasting before hand? And you are saying to drink it quickly? Did I understand that last post correctly Puma?

fasting = caloric abstinence (chaser for ingestion should be 0 calorie as well)

tips for ingesting (whilst still fasting):

1. minimize the contact and time of the medicine during ingestion

2. exclusively breath through your mouth

3. rinse and spit

As long as you can stand. I would say 8-12 hours minimum. Last time I went 24. Well ended up being about 36 by the time I actually ingested anything caloric.

Has anyone tried bypassing the mouth as much as possible via a kid's medicine dropper/squirter or baster or something along those lines? The main issue I can see is that one could kick in their gag reflex with too much pressure to the throat, but I was thinking about giving this a try with Friday with san pedro. Can anyone think of a reason this is not a good idea to try? tried without success? Thank you Big grin !

Wouldn't even bother. I think the key to drinking it ( AND KEEPING IT DOWN )..is drinking is slowly.

I like to prepare it into 3-4 shots and take them maybe 10-20 minutes apart with a bite of ginger after each one. If I try to do if faster, I usually will purge prematurely. I would still try to get it all in you as quickly as is doable for you, otherwise you won't get the full intensity of it. Just gotta find that happy medium, and for me it took a few times to find it.
