Is it possible that this herb bad been laced with something? Its hard to say with most "mids" these days but i've heard of people lacing the stuff with various substances that could have caused similar reactions.

Just a thought.

Neural: That's an interesting point. I had not considered the BP/vasodilation aspect of it, and it is true that I had smoked a joint within about 5 minutes which is fairly quick.

jamie: You could be correct. I had not thought to search old threads for this subject. I'm going to do that and try to find parallels between other's experiences and my own. That may fill in another piece of the puzzle.
It's weird how a substance that you think you know everything about can sneak up and surprise you like that. I think, like you, I'll be sticking with the one-hitter from now on. Besides, it's more economical.

MomentOfTruth: The guy I got it from is smoking the same stuff. I asked him about it and he hadn't noticed anything strange.

Anyways, I much appreciate the help I've gotten here from my fellow travelers. Thumbs up

Yeah I echo Jamie's statements.. since my tolerance has gone down my experiences even on the lowest grade weed have been quite uncomfortable and powerful at times. weed isn't always a chillout substance as it is so famously known for.. it depends on where your at in your life, the amount you inhale, the strain and the setting you smoke in. I agree that it is a psychedelic in its own right.. it can certainly lose that effect though when you choof every day

i recently quit weed because the experiences were becoming significantly more anxiety ridden and much less "chilling". I've done enough contemplating for a while, and weed seems to really magnify that state of contemplation. I guess where I'm at in my life I need to pay more attention to the present rather than my thoughtspace which weed seems to intensify

your experience sounds like a pretty typical "green out"

I can barely smoke strong Sativa's anymore. I will have borderline panic attacks where it feels like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. Very uncomfortable.

I'm much more keen on the indica's and a few hybrids with just the right balance.

I simply don't smoke like i used to. It just doesn't do it for me like it used to.

I smoked like a fiend up until about 2 years ago when my house got robbed one friday. After that i re-evaluated what i was doing, who i was associating with, and my use of various substances.

I quit for like 3 months straight after years and years of daily use. This led to a near mental breakdown. I eventually started having a puff every now and then and ever since then it hasn't been the same. Getting high is often more uncomfortable than enjoyable for me these days.

In the same boat. As a good man I know says: "This may be a sign that you need to move on to other enjoyable things".
