*I'm sorry in advanced if I have violated a TOS... after reviewing my post I feel I have not but if I did mention something I'm not supposed to then Mods please don't hesitate to edit and/or delete this post... regards*

Well, since our beloved Mimosa is being pulled further and further into a black hole by the oppressive and close minded "powers that be" I have decided to make a life-changing decision in regards to obtaining my shamanic tools. I will be growing my mimosa. I know that sounds a bit extreme... especially considering I don't live in a zone where mimosa hostilis is particularly hospitable but I got a few ideas flying around in the old noggin that has me ready to go. I know this will be a 3-4 year time investment at least before I get any molecule and it will cost me some money but I feel the energy that I put into this will come back 1,000,000 fold and plus I will never have to worry about the hassle of obtaining the spirit molecule especially considering how the legality issue doesn't seem to be getting better.

My idea will involve an indoor/greenhouse/outdoor setup. I'm not going to go into full details with my plan until it is up and running but the general idea is... since I live in a zone 7 and mimosa hostilis prefers zone 9... I will keep the trees contained when it's too cold but let them reap the full benefits of the wonderful springs and summers around here by opening up my "greenhouse" in various ways to allow optimal sunlight and airflow. In essence my indoor/greenhouse setup will be able to fully open into a more outdoor environment as the trees get bigger and bigger but the greenhouse will still be able to close when the weather is too bad. This may sound impractical but in my eyes... I will never have to worry about my tools ever again and at the same time I will be sustaining another life form which in itself is exciting and soothing.

I’m a gardener so this project has got my gears going right now. I can't wait to start these babies. I'm planning on having 4-6 main trees with around 8-12 bonsai's around in various cycles of growth. I plan on periodically taking these bonsai's out planting when they are mature or hardy enough (I'm guessing after 1.5 - 2 years). I will keep this cycle going but the 4-6 major/mother trees will always have a semi-controlled environment that will bring a great harvest of wisdom, and I hear you can harvest this wisdom every 2 years. The bonsai's will be more of research and data collecting thing ( as on seeing how they adapt to my climate zone, and if certain trees I have are more resilient towards a low climate, I will try and make seeds as well with certain ones and hopefully yield better strains in terms of growing condition "survivability", adaptability, yield amounts, etc......). I'm not just throwing them out there to the wolves though... I will try my best to care for each and every tree to my utmost ability. I also am curious on making my own soaps and skin products with the amount of root bark I will be yielding. I will be putting it all to great use as well as learning about the great Mimosa this entire time.

In the meanwhile the only other viable means of traveling for me in the Psychonaut Realms would be through the help of Silly Old Simon or Psilocybin. For those who have adventured with Simon and Dmitri do you feel it would be a good tool to utilize while partaking in this extreme exercise of patience in growing mimosa? I can totally do without psychedelics for an extended period of time but it would be nice to have something to expand my mind every few blue moons while I wait for the ultimate harvest of the spirit molecule. I'm also interested in Acacia Confusa because I have heard some promising things about it and its contents... I will maybe try that but I'm not sure.

Once I start my grow I will keep a grow log and start a grow thread in the appropriate forum. Hopefully my adventurous project will bring more info to the already expanding knowledge of our wonderful teacher.

Positive Vibes, my fellow Psychonauts!!! Very happy
1% of reality is within our plane of existence. What we feel... what we see... what we hear... what we "think" we know... The other 99% percent of reality can only be shown to us through DMT. This 99% lies within the "Realm of the Unknowns". We can only experience FULL reality when we leave this vessel, our bodies. DMT gives us a taste of this full reality... the universal knowledge is given to us by the beings who call "hyperspace" their home. When in hyperspace there is no "self" but instead this self is replaced with pure and raw energy. ENERGY CAN NOT BE DESTROYED, ONLY TRANSFERRED OR TRANSFORMED! So when you have that "ego-death" during a breakthrough trip, don't fret, you are not being destroyed but yet..... YOU ARE BEING TRANSFORMED.

I LOVE YOU, RESPECT YOU AND I THANK YOU... Dimethyltryptamine ... for showing me the 99% of reality that I would never have experienced in everyday life.

Hi Psychonaut In Orbit,

Thank you for this great post. I'm no mod but I think you are doing fine here.

There are at a few members I know of who are doing home mimosa grows. One lucky enough to live in an appropriate zone and one using a grow tent setup (I think) as well as an indoor window.

These are interesting times. I often describe it as "forced evolution." I applaud you for taking the initiative on this front and for your patience.

And yes, by all means, I think it would be a great idea to do a mushroom grow during this time in order to feed that once in a blue moon call.

Thanks again. Please keep us posted and keep up the good work. Very happy

Thank you Pandora for the kind words.

That encourages me, not only your positive energy, but the fact that fellow psychonauts are trying to keep the circle of life and energy flowing and growing.

Much love to all and appreciate the good vibes. Thumbs up

I figure it is going to take some innovation to get at least semi-desirable results... so the idea of "Forced Evolution" actually excites me... Very happy

I'm ready to go.... the earliest I will be to start is in the spring of 2013... patience is key here.

Thank you for the suggestion with the shrooms... I've only taken them once and it was a weak batch... slight visuals and things were a bit "cartoony" definitely nothing profound but I know I haven't even began to touch on what Simon can reveal to me... so I am open to learning what he has to say about all this. Very happy

i live in florida and grow mimosa as well as many other interesting plants.

im just curious why you are so dead set on mimosa cultivation for your dmt source? honestly you should wait at least 5 years before trying to harvest any rootbark as well. if you cant get it in the ground to give it the massive space it needs for roots youre going to not be able to harvest much RB from them and in my opinion you will be wasting your time.

might i suggest you look in to other plant sources? psychotria alba is a good one. much smaller and you could have a good amount indoors. not to mention they grow super quick compared to any dmt containing plant ive had. it is a bit weaker than psychotria viridis but it makes up for that being that it grows 10x quicker than its better known sister. Also you can easily harvest the leaves. are you aware of what a pain it is to dig up some root?

not trying to talk you out of it but i just think you have better options to weigh out.

take care.
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud!

I have a couple. Tallest one is 4 feet now maybe a bit taller not sure and 1 year old. I have some older ones that I put outside last summer and they suffered so I have to cut them back..which really stressed the things out. I am in zone 8. Your going to need a heated greenhouse for this. They dont seem to take well to being moved around indoors to outdoors etc unlike some other plants.

I dont use grow tents or anything. I have them in a large 7-8 foot tall window in dining room with 4 lights. So they get natural light as well as extra grow lights. I have 500 watts on them between the 4 lights.

5 years absolute minimum I would say concidering what you have available to accomadate your tree..

Really I would not rely on this as your main DMT source. Better to look into desmanthus and grasses and a few colder harder acacais, and just grow the mimosa on the side as well. I think you can get more with other sources in the long run and w/e the mimosa yeilds is a bonus.

Then there is vaping psilocybin..which has been done and will eventaully be better worked out so that others can follow some sort of process set down.
Long live the unwoke.

thank you Dan and Jamie... your input has helped a lot and put things in perspective for me. I was reading that you could start harvesting within 3-4 years but 5 Shocked Shocked Shocked .... I'm probably going to be doing a mixture of both of your suggestions (growing other DMT containing plants) while growing mimosa hostilis on the side as a side project. Jamie... I don't want to go into detail of my plan but the heated greenhouse was going to part of the plan. Thank you for the suggestions guys.... Thumbs up

Oh I got some Acacia Confusa rootbark on the way... so I will be testing things out with this. I've been hearing some encouraging things about ACRB so maybe I can get a good amount of this before the "powers that be" decide to put ACRB in it's crosshairs( which seems more and more likely). I'm still interested in MHRB and growing it but I'll most definitely be using the suggestions in this thread.

Thank you guys once again.
